1.1 Britain: (Muslim) Migrant crisis

We had heard about Christian minorities being persecuted in Syria (not by Assad but by rebels), Egypt and Iraq. How come we do not see any of them among the migrants?

David Cameron has promised to take in 20,000 migrants from refugee camps. But Christian refugees fleeing Syria are being bypassed in Britain's resettlement programme, the head of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has warned.                            (24 December2015) Cardinal Nichols told Today: " What I'm concerned about is that the programme which the Government has set up about the resettlement, and I can see the point in going directly to the refugee camps, but in fact I think its unintended consequence will be that there will be few, if any, Christians coming to this country. That is because for the most part Christian refugees do not go into the UNHCR camps. They go to fellow Christian organisations."

Britain may take in some unaccompanied children. First the PM said that Britain will only take in children from UN refugee camps, but not from those who are in Europe.

The question is this – how did these children end up in Europe? How did they travel from Syria to say Italy or Greece or even to France? Should we not find out their parents and relatives and unite them with those? This is the way similar crisis was dealt with after World War II. Why not now?

ISIS Attacks Paris 129 dead & 390 wounded

Saturday, 14 Nov 2015
Deep web analysts discovered ISIS extremists praising the sophisticated and well-coordinated attacks within minutes of the initial explosions and gunfire that police say killed about 158 people. At least six attacks occurred across the city with as many as 100 people believed to have been killed inside a popular concert hall after being taken hostage, authorities said.

“O crusaders we are coming to you with bombs and rifles,” a top propagandist from
an unofficial ISIS media wing tweeted in Arabic, The jihadist ended the tweet ominously: “Wait for us.”

“The infidels were happy in the liberating of Sinjar at the morning, and at night they slap themselves for Paris,” declared another tweet discovered by Vocativ deep web analysts.

President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency and closed the country’s borders as the fear spread across a city still healing from the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January 2015. Authorities said the attackers inside the concern hall had tossed explosives at the hostages. At least two attackers were killed in the hall when security officials stormed the building.  There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the brutal violence which began about 4 p.m. But ISIS adherents quickly encouraged the terror organization to take official responsibility..

On 16 November 2015 New York Times reported -

After Paris Attacks, a Darker Mood toward Islam Emerges in France

November is not January. That thought has been filtering through the statements of most French politicians and the news media, and most people seem to understand. Unlike the response in January after attacks at the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and elsewhere left 17 dead, there were no grand public appeals for solidarity with Muslims after the Friday attacks that left 129 dead in Paris

There were no marches, few pleas not to confuse practitioners of Islam with those who preach jihad. Instead, there was a palpable fear, even anger, as President François Hollande asked Parliament to extend a state of emergency and called for changing the Constitution to deal with terrorism.

Already, tough talk from officials in the government shows them shifting rightward, calling for new scrutiny of mosques, extending the state of emergency and possibly placing restrictions on the 10,000 or more people loosely indexed as possible threats to the state.

France needs to “expel all these radicalized imams,” Prime Minister Manuel Valls declared Saturday. France had already been expelling handfuls of imams in recent years.

But the attacks have not ceased, and experts point out that the paths to radicalization more typically run through the prisons or the war in Syria, not the mosques. At the same time, there are whiffs of hardening feelings — mosque desecrations over the weekend, and harsh words between non-Muslims and Muslims in the crowds mourning.

The concern among Muslims in France is palpable.

“We’re already feeling the backlash. It started right away,” said Latetia Syed, 17, whose family gathered on Sunday near the Bataclan concert hall, where 89 people were killed on Friday, to pay respect to the victims. “There was a flood of violent language on Facebook to kill Muslims.”

France’s imams “are all worried,” said Hassen Farsadou, the head of a group of Muslim associations in the Paris suburbs. “We are trying to figure out how to handle this.”

Fear and suspicion are pervasive. “Today, I went to the gym, and I was wearing my helmet,” said Aykut Kasaroglu, a shop worker in the immigrant-rich Montreuil district. “The policeman stopped me and told me to take it off so they could see me. Everyone is suspicious.”

The grim public mood, with hardened jaws and frowns on the emptied streets, is bubbling up. Deep shades of distinction that previously separated France’s political groupings — left, right and far right — on how to handle the terrorist threat, or even how to deal with France’s large Muslim community, are blurring. --------

How this might play out in coming weeks is hinted at in rapidly evolving propositions for how best to use the notorious “S files,” an index of thousands of people considered possible threats to the state — on the basis of dubious associations, for instance, or even online threats.

At least one of the attackers at the Bataclan, Ismaël Omar Mostefaï, was on the S list; so were the two brothers who shot up Charlie Hebdo in January and a train attacker thwarted by three Americans in August. Each time, there has been an outcry in France over why a dangerous individual known to the state was not stopped beforehand. Each time officials have explained that a place in the S files is not the basis for an arrest.

Our comments - But we have to admit that Muslims have not hidden anything. They are honest. Their Koran is there for everybody to read. They simply abide by it. If others are blind to reality it is not their fault.

On 15 November 2015 New York Times reported -

The terrorist assault on Paris on Friday night was carried out by three teams of coordinated attackers, including one who travelled to Europe on a Syrian passport along with the flow of migrants, officials said Saturday.

At a news conference on Saturday night, the Paris prosecutor, François Molins, said the attackers were all armed with heavy weaponry and suicide vests. A French security official said separately that one of the attackers had been linked to a Syrian passport. A Greek official had said earlier that the person carrying the passport had passed through Greece last month.

(Reuters) Saturday, November 21, 2015

Brussels: Belgium raised the alert status for its capital Brussels to the highest level on Saturday, shutting the metro and warning the public to avoid crowds because of a “serious and imminent” threat of an attack.
A week after the Paris attacks carried out by Islamic State militants, of whom one suspect from Brussels is at large and said by authorities to be highly dangerous, the city was placed on the top level “four” in the government's threat scale after a meeting of top ministers, police and security services.
”The advice for the population is to avoid places where a lot of people come together like shopping centres, concerts, events or public transport stations wherever possible,” a spokesman for the government's crisis centre said.

He declined to say what specifically prompted the new alert.
A statement on the centre's website said it had recommended closing the underground rail network until Sunday and the municipal transport authority tweeted that stations on the four main metro lines were closed “by order of the police”.
The crisis centre website said it was calling on local authorities to cancel large events, urge people to avoid crowds, postpone soccer matches,

Suspected militant Salah Abdeslam, 26, returned home to Brussels from Paris after the attacks, when his elder brother Brahim blew himself up at a cafe.

Belgium, and its capital in particular, have been at the centre of investigations into the Paris attacks - which included suicide bombers targeting a France-Germany soccer match - after the links to Brussels emerged. Three people detained in Brussels are facing terrorism charges. | Saturday, November 21, 2015 |

The government's crisis centre raised the alert to 'Level Four', indicating a "serious and immediate threat", amid a reports that police had found a cache of weapons and ammunition during a raid on an apartment in Molenbeek, the poor suburb of Brussels that was home to the suspected mastermind of the Paris attacks that killed 130 people.

Salah Abdeslam could be in disguise and using a fake name.

The Belgian Federal Prosecutor's office later confirmed the discovery in the home of one of three people arrested in Belgium in connection with the Paris attacks.

1.2.1 Europe is now living in fear of Islamic terrorists. New Year celebrations were cancelled in France, Germany and Belgium.

They are all worried and think – what will happen next?

Soon the Muslim migrants will demand Halal Meat, time off for 5 prayers a day, mosques will be built with S Arabian money – if not they will block roads during Namaz, there will be flood of Burqa clad women!

1.2.2 Germany confirms most mob attack suspects were asylum seekers –                         Friday 8 January 2016

Germany said most suspects in the mob violence that marred Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations were asylum seekers, fuelling calls to quickly deport criminal migrants.

Unsettled by a record refugee influx, Germany has reacted with shock to news that women had to run a frightful gauntlet of groping, insults and robberies in an aggressive and drunken crush of around 1,000 men.

A week after the chaotic scenes outside Cologne railway station, federal police said they had identified 31 suspects whose alleged offences were "mostly theft and causing bodily harm". Eighteen of them are asylum seekers, the interior ministry said.

Among the suspects are nine Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians, four Syrians, two Germans and one citizen each from Iraq, Serbia and the United States, ministry spokesman Tobias Plate said.

Cologne police have separately confirmed receiving over 120 complaints of assaults, ranging from groping to two alleged rapes, calling them apparently coordinated attacks during the year-end festivities.

- A question of criminality -

Victims and eyewitnesses had since the beginning blamed men of "Arab or North African" appearance,  At the weekend, Merkel's conservative party plans to agree on tougher policies, including cancelling asylum and refugee status for any convicted applicants with jail terms of any length, and the speeding up of deportations.

- Act with 'full force' -                                                                                                         "We need more police, a better equipped judiciary and tougher laws, among other things to more quickly expel criminal foreigners," said Volker Kauder, the parliamentary leader of Merkel's Christian Democrats.

"Citizens expect that those without a right to stay really do leave the country," Kauder told news weekly Der Spiegel.

1.3.2 US Commission on religious freedom is a political entity, report motivated              On 20 October 2015 our friend Sandhya Jain sent us the following Mail.

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom’s (USCIRF) annual report 2015 is an egregious assault on India’s dignity as a sovereign nation, especially the tasteless reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi being the only person who’s tourist visa was revoked by the State Department in 2005 under a clause in the Immigration and Nationality Act which made any foreign government official who “was responsible for or directly carried out, at any time, particularly severe violations of religious freedom”, ineligible for a visa. Presumably the perpetrators of extreme brutalities against the populations of Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan have a free pass.

Ohio: 2 Indians among 4 men charged with aiding al-Qaeda leader

Anwar-al-Awalaki

·

Two Indians are among four men who have been charged with aiding the al-Qaeda terror network in Ohio. The Indian brothers were indicted by a US federal court for providing support to the slain leader Anwar al-Awlaki.

The Indians have been identified as Yahya Farooq Mohammad, 37, and Ibrahim Zubair Mohammad, 36, while the other two men are Asif Ahmed Salim, 35, and Sultane Room Salim - both US citizens. The men are thought to have provided material support to the global terrorist al-Awlaki. They are also suspected to have funded the organisation by defrauding the US banking system. The Indian men travelled to the US to study engineering.

One of them was arrested in the Columbus area on Thursday (5 November) while another was apprehended in Texas. Two others are still at large.

"It's an ongoing operation, but neither of those two (still not arrested) are in the United States," said Mike Tobin, spokesperson for the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio.

The men are suspected to have raised money between 2008 and 2009 for al-Awlaki, who died in an American drone strike in 2011. On 22 July, 2009, according to the indictment, Farooq Mohammad travelled to Yemen in order to meet al-Awlaki. "They were unable to meet Awlaki, so instead travelled to Sana'a, Yemen, to meet with one of his associates. Farooq Mohammad and his two fellow travellers gave the associate approximately $22,000 to be given to al-Awlaki."

The Justice Department added: "The indictment also alleges that the defendants' support was to be used in furtherance of violent jihad against the US and US military in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the world."

Our comments - Why not say Indian MUSLIMS? Why the mischief of calling them Indians?

British Mass media also play the same dirty game. Whenever a crime is reported they will not say Muslim culprits, they will say they were Asians.

1.4 Canada – treatment of aborigines

Canada’s Forced Schooling of Aboriginal Children Was ‘Cultural Genocide,’ Report Finds

Author: Ian Austen / Publication: The New York Times / Date: June 2, 2015

URL:           http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/03/world/americas/canadas-forced-schooling-of-aboriginal-children-was-cultural-genocide-report-finds.html?emc=edit_th_20150603&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=54527245&_r=1

Canada’s former policy of forcibly removing aboriginal children from their families for schooling “can best be described as ‘cultural genocide.’ ”

That is the conclusion reached by the country’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission after six years of intensive research, including 6,750 interviews. The commission published a summary version on Tuesday of what will ultimately be a multivolume report, documenting widespread physical, cultural and sexual abuse at government-sponsored residential schools that Indian, Inuit and other indigenous children were forced to attend.

The schools, financed by the government but run largely by churches, were in operation for more than a century, from 1883 until the last one closed in 1998. The commission documented that at least 3,201 students died while attending the schools, many because of mistreatment or neglect, in the first comprehensive tally of such deaths. The report linked the abuses at the schools, which came to broad public attention over the last four decades, to social, health, economic and emotional problems affecting many indigenous Canadians today. It concluded that although some teachers and administrators at the schools were well intentioned, the overriding motive for the program was economic, not educational.

“The Canadian government pursued this policy of cultural genocide because it wished to divest itself of its legal and financial obligations to aboriginal people and gain control over their lands and resources,” the report said. “If every aboriginal person had been ‘absorbed into the body politic,’ there would be no reserves, no treaties and no aboriginal rights.”

The Canadian government apologized to former students in a landmark 2008 court settlement and established the commission to document what had happened and to reconcile Canada’s native and nonnative peoples.

The commission, led by Justice Murray Sinclair, an Ojibwa who was the first aboriginal judge in the province of Manitoba, said Tuesday that it would take considerable effort and significant social, legal and political changes to achieve that mandate.

“A just reconciliation requires more than simply talking about the need to heal the deep wounds of history,” the report said. “Words of apology alone are insufficient; concrete actions on both symbolic and material fronts are required.”

In contrast, the commission found that “all too often, policies and programs are still based on faded notions of assimilation.”

In its report, the commission offered 94 recommendations, including an overhaul of the child welfare system for aboriginal children, which continues to produce cases of abuse and neglect, and a change in Canada’s oath of citizenship to include a promise to “faithfully observe the laws of Canada, including treaties with indigenous peoples.”

A principal recommendation is a step that has long been a sore point between aboriginal groups and the government. The report repeatedly calls on the government to fully adopt the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as the basis of a new relationship.

Canada, along with the United States, Australia and New Zealand, has been reluctant to take that step, saying instead that the country endorses the declaration only as a “non-legally-binding aspirational document.”

The major sticking point is the declaration’s requirement that issues involving the lands, territories and resources of aboriginal people be subject to their “prior and informed consent.” The government is concerned that the requirement would essentially give aboriginal groups a sweeping veto over Canadian law.

The commission said, however, that the declaration affirmed rights already held by native groups under treaties with the government and was consistent with recent decisions by the Supreme Court of Canada related to aboriginal rights.

Aboriginal groups and the government see reconciliation very differently, the report said: The government appears to believe that it involves aboriginal people’s accepting “the reality and validity” of the government’s power “in order to allow the government to get on with business.”

“Aboriginal people, on the other hand, see reconciliation as an opportunity to affirm their own sovereignty and return to the ‘partnership’ ambitions they held,” the report said.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government has had a strained relationship with indigenous people, even though it was Mr. Harper who made the apology in 2008. When a reporter at a news conference on Tuesday asked whether the Conservatives were at all likely to adopt the commission’s recommendations, Justice Sinclair said, “We are writing for the future, not just for this government,” a remark that met with prolonged applause and cheers from the largely aboriginal audience.

Bernard Valcourt, the aboriginal affairs minister, said Tuesday: “This dark chapter in Canada’s history has left a mark on our country. I’m confident that we can build on the important work that’s been done and continue to heal as a nation.”

Leaders of the Protestant churches that ran many of the schools apologized long ago. But the report and Justice Sinclair urged Pope Francis to formally take that step for the Roman Catholic Church, which ran some of the schools, saying that apologies from local Catholic officials were not enough.

The research and interviews conducted by the commission detailed a boarding school system that was woefully underfunded, inadequately staffed and largely ineffective at its stated aim of providing useful education.

Some former students interviewed by the commission cited school sports and music and arts programs as bright spots in their lives. But those programs were not generally part of the system, and most former students, even those who were not physically or sexually harmed or neglected, said their daily lives had been heavily regimented and lacked privacy and dignity. At many of the schools, students were addressed and referred to by number as if they were prisoners.

“In the school, I didn’t have a name,” Lydia Ross, a former student, told the commission. “I had No. 51, No. 44, No. 32, No. 16, No. 11 and then finally No. 1, when I was just coming to high school.”

The commission found that the government had in effect blocked criminal investigations of some sexual predators employed at the schools. The report documented widespread bullying and beating involving both staff members and older students.

Many staff members were paid poorly, and the government justified the policy by arguing that “because many employees belonged to missionary organizations, pay was a ‘minor consideration,’ ” the commission found. Nuns at one school in the 1960s were paid just $50 a month, the report said, a situation that made its principal “feel like a heel.”

The report documented instances in which students tried to burn down their schools or died after running away from schools in remote locations. Justice Sinclair said at the news conference that although the commission was able to document 3,201 student deaths, research suggested that 6,000 or more may have died.

A disproportionate number of aboriginal people are imprisoned in Canada, and aboriginal children account for a much larger part of the child welfare system’s caseload than their share of the population. The commission said both of those trends were consequences of the regimented residential school system.

People raised in the schools, the report said, “sometimes found it difficult to become loving parents.” Those who were abused often went on to abuse other people as adults, or fell victim to substance abuse.

“Students who were treated and punished like prisoners in the schools often graduated to real prisons,” the commission wrote. “For many, the path from residential school to prison was a short one.”

Godbole commented –  Please do not forget that Americans and Australians are also guilty of similar practices

One friend Jyotishi said    Excerpt:  Australia

British settlement began in 1788, with the landing party of transported convicts.  Australia remained a penal colony. during the first half of the 19th century, during which time the continent was explored and separate colonies were established in the various states. Aboriginal populations were displaced and decimated' in some areas (e.g., Tasmania), they were totally exterminated....

On 28 August 2015 Ashok B Sharma wrote –

Pakistan backing out from the process that would have led to a composite dialogue with India is disappointing and unfortunate for South Asia. Resumption of a composite dialogue would have been in the best interests for peace and development in the region. The two leaders, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reached an accord in Ufa in Russia in July bearing the “collective responsibility to ensure peace and promote development” in the region. To this end both leaders condemned terrorism in all its forms and agreed to cooperate with each other to eliminate this menace from South Asia.

1.5.2 Tipu Sultan honoured!

On 15 November 2015 came following news - Whole of Karnataka was raging over Government’s plans to celebrate Tipu Sultan’s Jayanti!

Godbole replied - Please remember that our own Kith and Kin are JUST AS SHAMELESS as Karnataka Chief Minister.

I was in Pune when the series Sword of Tipu Sultan was being shown TV.

I asked my blood relations, “Aren't you ashamed of watching this series?”

Their answer – “What shame is there? We watch it just as we watch series on Ramayana and Mahabharata!”

In our city in England mother of one of our friends is 20 years older than me. Once we went to his home. His mother was alone. She said, "Don't you watch Sword of Tipu Sultan?"

We were disgusted. This woman, in her childhood, would have heard about outrages of Moplas in Kerala and yet she watches Sword of Tipu Sultan!

We were furious and immediately left the house. Now I do not bow to her whenever we meet.

That is the reality of life.

1.5.3 Deaths

(i) On 17 November 2015 Shree Ashok Singhal of VHP passed away in New Delhi.

(ii) In January 2016 Historian Ninad Bedekar died in Pune. He was deeply involved in protecting and preserving forts and fortifications of Maharashtra. These are our invaluable heritage – he said. He would make a PowerPoint presentation one day and on next day guide the participants on a tour of the relevant site.

Unfortunately he was also a die-hard opponent of P N Oak. When Godbole met him a few years ago he raised the question of Shahjahan’s firmans ordering marble stones for Taj Mahal. This has since been dealt with by Godbole who also asked Ninad Bedekar to give his statements in writing but he declined.

Bedekar also remarked, “Why should Tavernier say, “ I saw commencement and completion of this great work on which 20,000 men worked for 22 years.” Godbole said, “Give me these thoughts in writing and I will reply.” Bedekar refused to do so.

1.5.6 Criticism of expenses paid to M.Ps.

After Modi came to power people are suddenly realizing that M.Ps are being paid enormous amounts in food subsidies and hotel bills! Following is a summary of 3 Mails received in August 2015.

27 parliamentarians together racked up a bill of 5.6 crore rupees by overstaying in a luxury hotel without approval. Now they expect India’s taxpayer to foot the bill. But the Lok Sabha Secretariat is yet to approve their expenses. So let’s unite now to say – “Not from our pockets!”

These MPs extended their hotel stays without permission, finally vacating only after two warning letters from the Housing Committee. Many even had homes in Delhi! Official residences were made available to these MPs but they chose to go live in a hotel instead without getting their expenses approved beforehand. The Lok Sabha secretariat that is responsible for arranging the accommodation of MPs has therefore now stalled the payment. These Parliamentarians had their cake and ate it too -- taking possession of their new houses while refusing to check out from the luxury hotel!

The condition of many of the homes that they are given is often not up to scratch. And many MPs complain that the previous occupier leaves behind a huge mess. But instead of raising their concerns these MPs extended their stay

And it’s a story that repeats itself often until an RTI query blows the lid and temporarily embarrasses our leaders. But after the attention passes, the secretariat is forced to pay out with the public’s cash. Not this time.

"Parliament canteens serving MPs got a total subsidy of Rs 60.7 crore during last five years"

Following letter was also proposed

The Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,

Please stop this subsidy in Parliament and utilize this money to feed the poor of this country who cannot afford 2 meals a day, even one meal a day. Parliament canteens serving MPs got a total subsidy of Rs 60.7 crore during last five years an RTI reply shows.

Journalists also enjoy this subsidized food in the canteen may be that is the reason no one had bought this up ever strongly and asked questions to the lawmakers.

We pay taxes for their salary, perks, travel, stay everything. Should we pay for their food also? Can’t they afford their own food? … With 442 crorepatis (millionaires) in the 16th Lok Sabha they need subsidy for food? Parliamentarians, earning over Rs 1.4 lakh with perks, are relishing items like fish fried with chips at Rs 25, mutton cutlet at Rs 18, boiled vegetables at Rs 5, mutton curry with bone at Rs 20 and masala dosa at Rs 6

The cost for procuring raw items of dish like stew vegetables comes to about Rs 41.25 while the MPs are getting it for Rs 4. For the non-vegetarian meal raw items are procured at Rs 99.05 while the prepared dish is served at Rs 33 to MPs. The reply provided to RTI shows that the present rates of dishes have not been revised from December 20, 2010. The reply shows that canteens received a subsidy of Rs 10.4 crore, 11.7 crore, 11.9 crore, 12.5 crore and 14 crore during the years 2009-10, 2010-11, 2012-13, 2013-14 respectively, which totals to around Rs 60.7 crore.

I request you to stop this subsidy and let the MPs pay for what they eat

Why these demands were NOT being made during days of MM Singh? After all he was supposed to be a financial wizard!

24 men were executed for terrorist offences. One was a Shia Cleric named Nimr al-Nimr – accused of being an agent of Iran.

As a result Iran broke off diplomatic relations with S Arabia.

We do no recollect any protests by Human rights activists! How strange. Their logic is simple. If a Muslim kills Hindus and is hanged after conviction that is inhuman, but if a Muslim kills other Muslims and is hanged that is o.k.

Rs10,500 crores remitted by Christian missionaries: why the Opposition is mum? from www.oneindia : Dec 11,2014

On Sunday, December 14, 2014  Maj Gen Ashok Coomar  wrote:

Why BJP alone is targeted for conversion? Now that the opposition has decided to bring up the issue of re-conversions, it would also do well if it debated at length the inflow of money amounting to Rs 10,500 crore that is pumped in every year to Christian missionaries to convert people.

As has been noted by Phillip Goldberg, the author of American Veda it is not conversion but coercion that is taking this clearly driving the point that people are forced for the numbers and not for the faith.

NGO money
In the year 2011 it was found by various agencies that an illicit in flow of money had come into India with an intent of
funding conversions!
All this money landed into the coffers of various NGOs. There was a considerable amount of money which had no accounting and when the records were checked it was marked under the miscellaneous column.
None of the NGOs had a suitable answer to this and barring a few protests by them they have still not been able to satisfy the agencies that this money was not used for conversions/ stage managed protests or money laundering.

A probe by Bangalore Initiative for Religious Dialogue
The Bangalore Initiative for Religious Dialogue (BIRD) had conducted a survey pertaining to religious conversions. It had found that there was an aggressive marketing strategy by some missionaries involved in conversions undertaken by evangelists and they were using unethical means to convert.
They dole out incentives and force conversions not for the sake of religion but for their own benefits. [Mayawati stands up against mass conversion in Uttar Pradesh in the name of BPL cards]

Tactics galore
Several reports relating to conversions suggest that the gullible are targeted.
As Goldberg would say they are a new breed of zealots financed by the American fundamentalists.
He also notes that some people are given jobs and told to convert. If they refuse then they are threatened with job loss. In other instances it was found that some of them dressed up as Swamis and approached gullible people and said their Hindu Gods were the corrupt version of Christ.

Biggest donors are the missionaries
As per a report with the government the major donors to some of the NGOs in India are the Christian missionaries.

An amount of Rs 10,500 crore has been remitted into the accounts of four NGOs notorious for conversions and in turn distributed to various conversion centres across the country the report states.
The inflow of money was from the USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain and Italy, the report also noted.

Too much money and clout
While speaking to one officer with the Intelligence Bureau he says that successive governments in the past have turned a blind eye.
These missionaries have the money to shut the politician up.
Moreover they make it look like a suo motu conversion thus dodging the law which clearly states that only forced conversions are punishable.
Moreover the lure of money is so high that not too many come forward and complain.
The IB officer also notes that for every 1,000 conversions there is one complaint. This is largely to do with the fact there is too much money at play and also these missionaries take advantage of extreme poverty conditions of people and play with their faith.

Out comment – and yet we Hindus waste huge amounts of money on functions like Thread ceremony, pre marriage engagements (Sakharpuda). There are wine and dine parties before marriages.  Many high earning women are addicted to drink and take drugs. They shame their male colleagues. Surely we can raise enough funds to challenge the activities of Missionaries!

3.2 Muslims / Allah ho Akbar!

3.2.1 Haj Tragedy

On September 2015 came news of tragic deaths of Muslim pilgrims to Mecca.

A major stampede hit the holy city, where some 2 million people were performing the annual haj pilgrimage. 453 dead.  739 injured.

http://bharatkalyan97.blogspot.in/2015/09/haj-tragedy-453-dead-pbuh-may-allah-be.html

PM Modi expresses pain over loss of lives in Mecca stampede

“Distressing news from Mecca. Pained at loss of lives due to the stampede. Condolences to families of the deceased & prayers with the injured.”

We can understand that as a politician Modi has to express his sympathy, but why should staunch Hindus feel sorry? One gentleman from America replied – On humanitarian grounds.

Godbole replied , “But in the eyes of those dead Muslims we Hindus are Kafirs (non-believers) and must be killed according to Koran. And given a chance they will kill us.

We should use these pictures to expose the falsity of Islamic Brotherhood of Man. Once I had a Bengali Muslim colleague who said, "I will never go to Haj. Saudis treat us (Indians including Pakis and Bangladeshis) with utter contempt."

On 25 September we received the following  from Amit Bahadhuri, Ex-CISF                                                                         (abhadhuri924@gmail.com)
Subject: How bloody Saudis treat their Haj Victims
Saudis who make an immense fortune through Haj and spend most of it by spreading terrorism worldwide, treating the over 800 mad rush victims like garbage in the dustbin

And still the bloody fools spend their life’s savings to go to that country for Haj.

What a shocking behavior by the police/government of Saudi Arabia to their own brothers & sisters after death during most revered Haj? Picture speaks million words for all but unfortunately not a single condemnation from the leaders of Islam from any part of the world. Where are the "Miya", "Maulavi", "Imams" and any Muslim leader of Indian origin?

3.2.2 Muslim drivers refuse to deliver beer, win $2,40,000 lawsuit in U.S.

Our friend Ashok Choughale noted the following -                                                                  Author: PTI / Publication: The Hindu / Date: October 28, 2015

URL:  http://www.thehindu.com/news/international/muslim-drivers-refuse-to-deliver-beer-win-240000-lawsuit-in-us/article7814020.ece?utm_source=vuukle&utm_campaign=vuukle_referral#vuukle_div

Two Muslim truck drivers have been awarded a whopping $2,40,000 in damages by a U.S. jury in a religious discrimination lawsuit after they were fired for refusing to make beer deliveries. A jury was convened to determine damages after U.S. District Court Judge James E. Shadid ruled in favour of Mahad Abass Mohamed and Abdkiarim Hassan Bulshale when Star Transport admitted liability earlier this year.

The men, both of whom are Somali-American Muslims, were represented by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The EEOC won the case on behalf of the Obama administration. The federal jury in Peoria, Illinois, awarded $2,40,000 to the two drivers who were fired from their jobs as truck drivers at Star Transport when they refused to transport alcohol because it violated their religious beliefs, according to the EEOC. Judge accepts their contention that it violates their religious belief.

The trial started on October 19 and the jury returned its verdict the next day after 45 minutes of deliberation.

Mr. Shadid, chief judge of the US District Court for the Central District of Illinois, ruled in favour of EEOC after Star Transport admitted liability in March 2015. The resulting trial was to determine compensatory and punitive damages and back pay.

The jury awarded Mr. Mohamed and Mr. Bulshale $20,000 each in compensatory damages and $1,00,000 each in punitive damages. The Judge awarded each approximately $1,500 in back pay.

The EEOC said that the incident took place in 2009, when Star Transport fired Mr. Mohamed and Bulshale after they were required to transport alcohol.

One friend commented, “They may win law suits worth $ 2,40,000/- but permanently harm chances of Muslims to get employment in the transportation industry. Silently but surely people will stop employing them. In the long run, religious beliefs always harm your interests here and now.”

Godbole replied, “Alas, that will not happen. White man is obsessed with utter hatred of Hindus and love of Muslims. Whites will continue to employ Muslims.”

3.2.3 Durga puja banned in a Hindu village in W Bengal

On 28 October 2015 came a shocking news from Nalhati :

In a village named Kangla Pahari under Nalhati PS in Birbhum district in West Bengal, the local Administration, Panchayat and Police have been jointly preventing a Sharodiya (Navaratrik) Durga Puja for consecutive three years, only to favour the objections of Muslims of the village.

This is happening not in a Muslim majority village, but in a Hindu village where 200 stronghold Hindu families are being prevented their annual Durga puja rituals, the greatest festival of Bengali Hindus for years, but in a Mosque situated in the same village, Muslims usually perform Namaz after hooting the Adhan five times a day.

The matter came to light after flashing the news in ‘Jugosankha’ Bengali daily and ’24 Ghanta News’ after a staunch retaliation from state BJP President Rahul Sinha on this matter. Sri. Sinha attacked WB CM for her notorious ‘Minority appeasement’ under a ‘Vote Bank Politics’ in the state where the majority Hindu people are becoming the victim of the unbearable situation. Sri Sinha questioned how a Durga Puja can be prevented in a Hindu village, when the Durga Puja of Bengali Hindus has turned as an universal festival for all people without considering any caste, creed or any sorts of barrier.

The Durga Puja Visarjan (Immersion) ban on Muharram Day this year in West Bengal earned an ugly criticism on West Bengal and Kolkata Police.  More than 500 puja committee made immersion of Durga idol in and around Kolkata on the very Muharram day, maintaining a Hindu Panjika schedule and obviously defying a frivolous ban on  Visarjan by Mamata Banerjee, the queen of communal politics. But, there was not a single incident of chaos in those Visarjan in the Muharram day. Then the question arises, why Mamata Banerjee is so proactive to restrict the Hindu puja and festivals in Bengal and why there is a consecutive ban on the Durga Puja in Kangla Pahari village time and again?

4. History Today

4.1 Lost opportunities

4.1.1 On 27 September 2015, Narendra Modi visited Silicon Valley in America. 120 US-based academics (mostly of Indian origin) signed an open letter to Silicon Valley CEOs of Google, Apple, Microsoft, Tesla and other giants and urged them not to co-operate with Modi. Virtually none of the signatories to the open letter has a science or tech degree

Our comments  -   We are extremely lucky that now we know our enemies. It gives an excellent opportunity for Indian Government to keep dossiers on ALL of them.

Will they take it?

4.1.2 On 14 October 2015, came the news that after the Dadri episode in U P. Sahitya Academy awards were returned by a group of novelists, poets, writers, ‘intellectuals’ as they would like to be known and worshipped by the neo-literate classes and illiterate masses, has returned awards given by, or resigned from, the Sahitya Akademi, a tax-funded relic from the era when umbrellas would be taken out in Delhi every time it rained in Moscow.

First was Uday Prakash, then Novelist Nayantara Sahgal, daughter of Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit, niece of Jawaharlal Nehru,.Nayantara Sahgal declared she was  returning her reward, timing the announcement in a manner it would make it to prime time news bulletins. Soon after, poet Ashok Vajpeyi said he too was returning his reward. Novelist Shashi Deshpande and poet Satchidanandan have resigned from Sahitya Academy; novelist Sarah Joseph has returned her award.

These intellectuals are ostensibly angered by the ‘shrinking space for dissent’ and the ‘attacks on cultural diversity’, the ‘increasing intolerance towards freedom of expression’ and the ‘rise of fascism’ with the ‘advent of a Hindutva Government’ headed by Narendra Modi. They are aghast that rationalists like Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare have been killed in cold blood in Maharashtra, as has writer MM Kalburgi in Karnataka.

Their decision, which increasingly appears to be a well-coordinated move, follows the Dadri incidence in western U P, a back-of-beyond place of which nobody, more so the intellectuals, knew anything till a tragedy was blown out of proportion. Which begets the question: If one death can upset them, if the murder of two rationalists and a writer can wound their conscience, if stray comments by loudmouths who don saffron or have found a place in Team Modi for inexplicable reasons, can make them feel it’s Kristallnacht in India, where was their conscience, their spirit, their ethics all these years and decades?

Nayantara Sahgal had no compunction about accepting the Sahitya Akademi award two years after the grisly and gruesome anti-Sikh pogrom on her nephew’s watch. Rajiv Gandhi’s deplorable ‘when a big tree falls the earth is bound to shake’ justification of the slaughter of 3,500 Sikhs by Congress goons did not upset her. The Meerut and Malliana riots, the massacre of innocents at Bhagalpur did not prick her conscience. The ban on Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses did not alert her to the strangling of frees speech.

Our comments – Once again we had an excellent to know who our enemies are and keep dossiers on them for future use, but who would do this?

4.1.3 Hanging of Yakub Memon involved in Mumbai attack.

On 4 August 2015, one of the masterminds of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts Yakub Memon was finally hanged. His was a transparent case and the he had recourse to the best lawyers in the country to defend him to the very end. But the victims of terrorism had to wait 22 long years to get justice, the price of a democracy with an independent judiciary. The government of the day acted with firmness to execute the court order. Yakub’s actions along with those of others, led to the death of 257 people and injured over 1,500 people. And yet there was massive agitation against the death sentence!

Our comments - How strange that our Hindu friends keep quiet whenever Muslim women are stoned to death in Islamic countries, even in Pakistan!

The Governor of Tripura went against the grain. After hundreds turned out to receive Yakub Memon’s body in Mumbai, he said, “Intelligence should keep a tab on all (except relatives and close friends) who assembled for Yakub Memon’s corpse burial. Many are potential terrorists.”

Anti-nationals had made a hero out of a terrorist. In fact, one could argue that those who tried hard to save this butcher of hundreds of innocents and made loud cries even against the Supreme Court verdict should be kept under watch. Also, the intelligence agencies should keep a tab on media funds because the Press also made Yakub Memon a hero. It is so shameful to see this.

It has been rightly said that, “anybody siding with the enemy and waging a war against the nation will henceforth be culled mercilessly, as he has forfeited, his right to live, for taking the life of others. Humanitarianism is for humans and not for animals”

What a tragedy, internal security should be vigilant, specifically for those jaydraths — the 40 people who signed the petition should be closely watched. These are the people who worry about injustice to mass murderers, but do not care about those who are murdered.

There is a competition between the print media and visual media to sensationalise news, and only a few of them have reminded the people, about the past incidents of terrorism, including the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. There have been 13 terror attacks in Maharashtra in the last two decade, which has left 501 people dead. But barring the trial in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, no other matter has made headway as far as investigation is concerned or even in the legal system.

Beginning from the Ghatkopar blast in December 2, 2002, where two people were killed and the triple blasts in July 13, 2011, as many as 501 people were killed and more than 2,200 people were injured, as per official data. The 1993 Mumbai blasts was a series of well coordinated blasts, which was one of the deadliest in free India’s history. However, only one of the accused was hanged, on July 30 this year. Mumbai has always been on terrorist’s and gangster’s point map.

Many Indian and Pakistani smugglers provided funds for these attacks and India has also alleged that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence played a major role in these attacks. It was believed that the training and recruitment of the terrorists happened in Pakistan.

On September 24, 2002, the Akshardham temple was attacked in Ahmedabad. Two terrorists — Murtuza Hafiz Yasin and Ashraf Ali Mohammed Farooq — who belonged to the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba and Jaish-e-Mohammed entered Akshardham temple at around 3pm with automatic weapons and hand grenades. They started firing on men women and children and killed 31 people and injured 80. Both terrorists were gunned down by National Security Guard commandos by night. As many as 31 citizens died and 80 were injured in this attack.

On September 13, 2008, a series of three bomb blasts took place in capital of India. This serial blast was conducted by a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation. Some 63 people died and 210 people were injured. On July 11, 2006, the Bombay train blast, was a series of seven blasts that took place in a Mumbai local train. This was one of the biggest terrorist attack after 1993 blast in Mumbai. All the bombs were planted in first class coaches of local trains inside a pressure cooker. After a series of investigation, it was found that the Indian Mujahideen, a banned a terrorist organisation, was responsible for these attacks. This blast took a toll of 210 people and injured around 715 people.

On May 13, 2008, a blast in Jaipur was a series of nine synchronised bomb blast that took place in a span of 15 minutes. A 10th bomb was also found and defused by the authorities. This was a shocking incident for India as Jaipur was never targeted by the terrorists. The casualties in this case was 63 and around 210 people were injured.

On October 30, 2008, the target was Assam. This time, Guwahati, the capital of Assam was on target. As much as 18 bomb blasts at different locations shook the city which resulted in fatal causalities and civilian loss. Around 81 people died and 470 were injured.

On December 13, 2001, came an attack on the Indian Parliament. Five terrorists, belonging to the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba and the Jaish-e-Mohammed group attacked the most secure building of India — Parliament. Though the fatalities were reduced, as all the terrorists were killed before they could reach main building, but even the fact that these terrorists succeeded in entering Parliament was in itself, a horrific truth. The terrorists used fake stickers of Parliament and the Home Ministry to breach security. As many as six policemen and three staff members of Parliament died in this attack.

On February 14, 1998, an Islamist fundamentalist group conducted a series of 12 bomb blasts at 11 different locations in Coimbatore. The main target of this attack was BJP leader LK Advani. Most of the blasts were planted at Hindu-dominating areas due to which the majority of the victims were Hindus. More than 200 people were injured and 60 died in this incident.

Our thoughts are echoed by Governor of Tripura.

These events had provided excellent opportunities to know our enemies. But would RSS

take a lead? We doubt it.

They could have made a video – identify the culprits / keep dossiers on them and all their relatives.

4.2 Britain is Christian NOT secular so is USA                                                                                                         British P M David Cameraman in his X’Mas message 2015 says, “Britain is a Christian country. And that’s why those of other religions and of no religion can live happily in Britain.” But then does not the same apply to Hindusthan?

Donald Trump, Republican hopeful candidate for US Presidency has said, “America is a Christian country. That’s why we would provide asylum to Christian migrants from Iraq and Syria. Muslim countries should take in Muslim migrants.”

Silly Hindus! They thought Britain and America were secular. That stupidity is reserved for Hindusthan.

4.3 Horrors of American policy

On 2 December 2015 we heard a news very briefly – a man found his birth mother after

more than 30 years.

Salvador Allende of Chile was a Communist, but was elected by people to be their President. Americans would not have it. CIA chief George Bush asked the army chief to object. He said, “Allende has been elected by the people. How can I object?”

So, Bush asked Augusto Pinochet to murder the army chief and on 11 September 1973

Pinochet organized a military coup and killed Allende too. Pinochet tortured many of Allende’s supporters. Worst was that his men removed newly born babies from their mothers and they were given for adoption to Pinochet’s supporters. He remained in power till 1990.

Nothing can be more barbaric, but as long as he supported American interests that’s o.k. Americans have no shame. Margaret Thatcher also supported Pinochet at all times.

Did we not see the same in Romania? After the fall of Nicolae Ceaușescu  in 1989 people realized his brutal treatment of orphans and low ability children. But as long as he supported America that was o.k.

What a disgrace!

4.4 Importance of writing in English                                                                                                In September 2015 we had several E Mails repeating false history relating to battle of Panipat in 1761. The contention was - Hindu Lost to Muslims due to idol worship - What does History Teach us?

Godbole replied – Battle of Panipat 1761

A lot of falsehood has been spread about this episode.

Two Maratha Historians, Setu Madhavrao Pagdi and Prof N R Phatak had authored a book called Panipatacha Sangram Part 1, published in 1961. This was to mark the 200th anniversary of the battle.

It was expected that more parts will follow. That did not happen.

Alas, even Part 1 remained in Marathi. No Government of Maharashtra ever thought

of translating such works into English for wider readership. Hence the misconcepts in the minds of non-Marathi people even after 50 years!

4.5 Why we can’t tell the truth

In November 2015 there was a programme on British TV. It shows how large Supermarkets have a stranglehold on small farmers. It showed the case of a small family farmer who produces parsnips. But the Supermarket Morrisons had put restriction on the type of parsnips it will accept (shape and size). As a result large amount of parsnips go to waste. Mother Nature will not produce parsnips according to wishes of the Supermarket. But as soon as the small farmer dared to speak out Morrisons terminated their contract. No wonder small family farmers are terrified. They are scared of losing their livelihood.

This is the reality of life in England in 2015!
