2.1 Britain

Brexit – madness

So, Britain is going to pull out of European Union. What a shamble!

Chancellor George Osborne’s threats of emergency budget with severe cuts and tax rises did not help. He could have handled the situation much better – explaining the problem that would arise and ask the opposition – what is your answer?

Prime Minister David Cameron had negotiations with EU leaders, what concessions did they make? We were never told.  He did not have plan B in case people voted for exit – he should have asked the question – what if? Uncertainty is very bad for business. It is surprising that no one thought of that. He promised this referendum because he wanted to be elected. He should have warned the people that if they vote for exit there is no going back, people can’t change their minds. There will be no second referendum.

Many people would have voted for exit because they wanted to get rid of David Cameron. Despite his coalition with Liberals he rushed through NHS changes though they were NOT part of either party’s election manifestos.

East Coast Main Line franchise ran into difficulty so Government had to take it back. It was being run quite efficiently and was making money. But Cameron sold it back to private companies towards end of parliament without proper discussion.

People were also angry with Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt for his dealings with Junior Doctors’ contracts.

Nicky Morgan the Education Secretary was rubbish.

So, only way to get rid of Cameron was to vote for exit from EU.

There was talk of trade deals with other countries which at the moment is not possible – sure, but what are the figures? Once again we are short of details. Such deals take years to negotiate. Moreover how much are they worth as compared with trade with EU? No one knows.

Theresa May became P.M. visited Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande – but she does not know what Britain wants!

The fear is that EU leaders will say – if you want access to EU market of 550 million people you must accept free movement of people. Which means you can’t control European migration to Britain. That was the reason for Brexit! Moreover Britain must pay fee to join the club. In other words we will have worst of both worlds.

Norway model – no details were ever discussed. Why?

No data collected – How many Britons work in EU? What will happen to them? Polish Government stated that there are 850,000 Poles working in UK. How many Expats (pensioners) live in EU? What will happen to them? At the moment their health insurance is covered by mutual agreement.

Some foreign companies invest in Britain so that their goods can be exported to Europe without hindrance. If Britain leaves EU they may pull out. Again we need details. How many jobs depend on these? Civil servants and Government security services (like GCHQ) could have easily collected all this data.

U.K. is not one homogeneous country. The Scots want to remain in the EU. What happens if after Brexit they call for a referendum for independence, break away and join the EU? Would there be border controls between England and Scotland? Would that be practicable? We need to know details of Trade between Scotland and England and also between Scotland and EU. Same applies to Northern Ireland. It is deeply tied to Southern Ireland (Republic of Ireland or Ire). Would there be border controls between two parts as the Southern part is in EU?

Wales depends on subsidies from EU for many of its needs. Would the British Government pay those subsidies after Brexit?

Surprisingly, article 50 of the Lisbon treaty allows for no re-negotiations – no room for manoeuvre.

As Sir Humphrey says in the TV series Yes Minister, “Everything is connected to everything else. Don’t start an enquiry unless you know what the findings will be.” Brexit will affect Tourism and travel industries. Easyjet and Ryanair depend on visa free travel in Europe for their business. They have already lost millions  because of fall in the value of pound. Fuel is priced in US Dollars.

Part of my pension comes from British Steel which is now owned by Tatas. If they decide to pull out of Britain, what happens to my pension?

Pension funds invest in industries and depend on good return on their investment. If the returns are poor the funds are in serious trouble. We have spectrum of NEGATIVE interest rates – Banks will not pay any interest on your deposits ( not even 0.25%) but may charge you for keeping money with them!

Immigration

Unnecessary scare was raised. We live in an international market. Britons have skills so they work in EU countries. Europeans have skills (for example, Doctors and Nurses) and also do the jobs which British people do not want to do – like working on farms, or care workers who look after elderly people.

Remember the roof over Centre Court in Wimbledon? It was Project Managers from Hindusthan who were responsible for that. Once the work was finished they went back. They did not beg to be allowed to stay. That is the reality which was missing in the debates.

Other side effects

In panic, Bank of England reduced bank rate from 0.5% to 0.25% High Street banks followed suit. This is causing havoc for pensioners who were already hard hit by the banking crisis. And how long will this go on? No one knows.

Many Jews who fled Germany in the 1930s and their descendants are now considering applying for German Passports so that they can live in England and travel in Europe on German passports. Of course, they have no intention of settling in Germany which has more than one million Muslims. Until recently Germany did not allow duel nationality, but now they have changed the law.

Southern Ireland is offering Irish passports to those who can show Irish roots (those whose grand-parents were born in Ireland – even in Northern Ireland). More than one million such passports have been issued.

Fallacy of referendums

(1) EU Referendum in UK – 72% of those eligible to vote took part. Out of these 52% said “ Come out of EU.” Thus, only 37.44% of voters decided the fate of UK.

(2) Austria held a referendum on immigration quotas being imposed by EU for accepting Syrian Refugees. Only 30% of people voted. Out of these 80% said NO. Thus only 24% of people had said no to imposition of refugee quotas by EU.

(3) In Columbia, Central America, native people (Fart) have been fighting for their rights for last 54 years. Now they and the Government agreed to a truce in September 2016. It was put to a referendum. Again 30% of people voted, 50.2% rejected the deal. Are only 15.06% of population going to decide the Government policy?

In practice both parties are unwilling to continue fighting, so there will be peace but the deal cannot be implemented!

2.2 Murder of M.P. Jo Cox

In June 2016, during the referendum campaign, 41 year old Jo Cox, Labour M.P for Batley in W Yorkshire was murdered in her surgery by a fanatic.

As a matter of respect for her, Conservative, Liberal Democrats and UKIP parties did not contest election of her successor.

Why can’t people of Hindusthan show such courtesy?

2.3 British Home Stores – This well known High Street stores has gone into liquidation. It was clear that the owner Sir Phillip Green has used the pension funds of the employees for his own luxuries! Previous governments had relaxed rules governing pension funds. It was John Major who suggested first – why not borrow from Pension funds? Now we know the disastrous results. The 11,000 employees not only lost their jobs but also have no pension – all their life’s work has gone to waste! Ugly face of capitalism indeed.

2.4 Maximum security jail  'a Jihadi training camp ‘

On 18 May 2016, David Cohen reported for Evening Standard ( page19)

A maximum security prison in London has become "like a jihadi training camp", according to shocking testimony from a former inmate. The whistle-blower said that a  group of jihadists at Belmarsh, who call themselves "the Brothers'  or "Akhi" (Arabic for brother), appear to "almost have the run of the prison.” The witness, a Muslim university graduate recently released after serving a sentence for bank fraud, said that "governors, prison officers and imams all know this." He said that Belmarsh, where many convicted terrorists and terror-related offenders mix freely with ordinary prisoners, was "the worst.”

He added: "But the problem is that Belmarsh is also a holding prison and so young people who are brain- washed and indoctrinated then go out into the wider prison system and create wider Akhi networks.”

The revelations came in the wake of the damning Justice Select Committee report which revealed a huge increase in suicides, violent assaults and disorder in UK prisons. They also came ahead of today's Queen's Speech when the Government is expected to unveil new measures to crack down on extremism as well as wider reforms of the prison system.

Prisoners held in Belmarsh for terrorism or terror-related offences numbered 51 in 2006. Today's figure is estimated to be at least 80, although the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) refused to confirm this, saying: We do not know the exact number. The MoJ also declined to elaborate on its policy of allowing prisoners held on terror-related charges to mix freely with other inmates. Latest figures show that in the five years to 31 December 2014 the number of Muslim inmates at Belmarsh has more than doubled to 265, or 30 per cent of the total prisoners.

At HMP Isis in Thamesmead and Feltham Young Offender Institution, Muslims now comprise 42 and 34 per cent of prisoners respectively, despite Muslims amounting to just 12 per cent of London's population. A MoJ Prison Service spokesman said: "There is no evidence to back up these specific claims about HMP Belmarsh - where our hard-working staff successfully manage a very challenging group of prisoners.

"But we are not remotely complacent about the risks that Islamist extremism poses in prisons."

A prisoner’s testimony

‘Radical Islamists were in charge’                                                                                          Soon after I arrived in Belmarsh in 2014, news came that Mosul, Iraq, had fallen to Isis and the prison erupted – wild banging on the doors and joyous shouting of "we are going to take over in the wing. It was like a big party. I watched how prison officers left new inmates with the impression that the real people in charge were a group of radical Islamists known as the Brothers" or "the Akhi", which is Arabic for brother. We had 200 people on our wing in Belmarsh, about half of them Muslim, but there was a core of 20 "brothers” in for terror related offences who had enormous influence. They were treated like celebrities

They were intelligent, well read and soft-spoken and they welcomed me with open arms because, as a fellow Muslim, they thought they could turn me into one of them. They would drape their arm around me, call me my “brother", offer me cigarettes, food and any support.

In my second week, I mentioned  tolerance for other religions. One of the Akhi said: "There is zero tolerance, they are all kuffar [unbelievers] and we have to destroy them." He then let it be known I was kuffar and nobody should associate with me.

We find the same situation in America. Muslims convicted of terrorist offences are free to contact other prisoners and convert them to Islam and also radicalise them

2.5 Cruelty to children 24 June  2016

The murder of a 13-month-old boy at the hands of his mother's boyfriend has been described as one of the worst cases of violence ever seen by police.

Noah Serra-Morrison was brutally murdered by Hardeep Hunjan in Luton in November 2015. Hunjan left the baby with 15 fractures to his body, including a 6in (15cm) wound across his skull - injuries so severe they were similar to those arising from a car crash or a fall from a building. Hunjan, 27, was found guilty of murder while Noah's mother, Ronnie Tayler-Morrison, 22, was cleared of the same charge. Both however were convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child and of cruelty to a child under 16. They had claimed that Noah injured himself falling from his cot - a claim prosecutors said was implausible.

"This has truly been one of the most shocking and sickening cases of violence we have ever come across," Bedfordshire Police said.

Little Noah suffered "unimaginably" as a result of the volatility of his mother's relationship with Hunjan. He was subjected to horrific and deliberate abuse for weeks before he died, suffering fractures to an arm and leg and bruising over his entire body.

The deliberate injuries were consistent with a "road traffic collision or a fall from greater than one storey".

His mother and Hunjan - who had moved to Luton from West London just a few months before - had binged on drink and drugs in the hours up to his death.

The pair delayed calling paramedics for an hour as they tried to cover up the crime.

During that time, Tayler-Morrison searched the internet for terms including "My baby is hurt and not moving" and called her sister to ask for advice.

The couple - who had a "chaotic" relationship fuelled by alcohol and cannabis - attempted to wash away forensic evidence in a shower in the ''blind hope that somehow they might get away with it'', prosecutor Jane Bickerstaff QC said.

Tayler-Morrison eventually called an ambulance to say Noah was unconscious and not breathing after falling from a small cot and being found on the floor of his bedroom.

She made no reference to that fact Hunjan was with her at the time. Despite the efforts of the Ambulance crew, Noah never regained consciousness. He was pronounced dead in hospital at 4.10am.

Even if he had survived, medical experts believe he would have been severely brain damaged. A post-mortem examination carried out on the child showed his numerous traumatic injuries were inconsistent with a fall from a cot. A pathologist noted numerous bone fractures in the youngster’s arms and legs and including his skull.

Most of these injuries were caused during the last six weeks of his life. Ronnie Tayler-Morrison was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a child, and cruelty by wilful neglect. Hunjan has three existing convictions for violent assault, the most recent occurring in July 2015. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Detective Inspector Fraser Wylie of Bedfordshire Police said: "Rarely do we come across a case that involves such sheer malice and utter cruelty against a small child, by two people who were supposed to love and care for him." Throughout this case the disregard shown by both Tayler-Morrison - Noah's own mother - and Hunjan has been evident, not least in the fact they attempted to evade justice by attempting to flee to Scotland whilst on bail.

"Poor Noah experienced fear, pain, neglect and extreme brutality during his too-short life. No child deserves that, and it has been evident throughout our investigation and the trial

that Tayler-Morrison and Hunjan chose a tumultuous, drug and alcohol-fuelled lifestyle over his happiness and welfare."

Our comment – if this is what happens today, what was the situation 100 years back when British Empire was at its zenith?

2.6 HSS (RSS) celebrates 50 Years in U.K.

RSS Chief Mohanrao Bhagwat was in London from 27 July to 3 August 2016 to celebrate 50 years of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in U.K.. There was a Mahashibir for 4 days and Bhagwat had various meetings for 2 days. As expected I (Godbole) was not invited to meet Shree Bhagwat, nor asked to attend Mahashibir even as a spectator. There was no Special London Tour for Shree Bhagwat.

* We have two painful memories of inaction of HSS. They did nothing during birth-centenary of Veer Savarkar (1983-84). Even his name was not mentioned in their publication Sangh Sandesh.

1996 marked 50 years of massacre of 150,000 Hindu men, women and children in Noakhali in Bengal. HSS did not observe a day of remembrance for the Hindu victims.

2.7 Pitiable condition of women workers in UK

In August 2016, it was reported that 54,000 pregnant women workers get sacked in UK every year. They do not resort to Industrial Tribunal as their services are no longer free. Those who go back to work after having children find that their jobs have been given to some one else, face re-organisation (and may have to apply for their jobs again), are forced to accept lower grades. Many face constructive dismissal.

2.8 Child sexual abuse

There is no end to such scandals. In November / December 2016 some football players came forward with claims that as boys they were molested by their coaches for years.

The scale is frightening. Some coaches have been named.

What about other sports? How many cases remain uncovered?

On the top came the news in December 2016 that even the Police were guilty of abusing vulnerable women whom they were supposed to protect. There are some 300 known cases. Several Police forces are investing the claims.

2.9 Destitute Britain:

UK Has Poorest People in Western Europe, Study Claims

A new report on pay inequality claims the UK is still blighted by Victorian-style inequality, and the country houses the poorest people in Western Europe.

The High Pay Centre, an independent think tank which studies the average household disposable income in European Union OECD countries, finds that the UK's lowest average disposable income is amongst the worst in the entire continent - even though our richest people enjoy some of the highest salaries.

The top 20% of UK households have an average disposable income of £31,670 (€39,662, $53,785) a year, which puts us behind only Germany and France. However, the lowest 20% in this country have an average disposable income of just £5,506 – the poorest in Western Europe.

According to the report, the plight of Britain's bottom 20% bears closer resemblance to the under-classes of Slovenia and the Czech Republic than anything to be found among Europe's economic powerhouses.

"Simply, for the millions of people comprising the poorest fifth of our population, life is much worse here than it is for the poorest fifth in virtually every other north-west European country - countries we would like to think of as our equals," stated the study.

"These figures suggest we need to be more concerned about inequality and how prosperity is shared, as well as average incomes or aggregate measures like GDP. The fact that the rich are richer in the UK than many other countries hides the fact that the poor are poorer," said High Pay Centre director Deborah Hargreaves.

"Most people think our living standards in the UK are similar to economies like France and Germany, but being poor in the UK is more like being poor in the former Soviet Bloc than in Western Europe."

The report picks up on George Osborne's 2014 budget speech, in which he spoke of a lessening gap in income inequality as a result of the global economic crisis.

However, the chancellor fails to mention that the only reason the gap has been narrowed is because the top fifth's disposable income has lowered, not because of rising income for the bottom 20%, stated the study.

"The Institute for Fiscal Studies predicts that, as the economy recovers, the increase in inequality will resume. The IFS say that income inequality will be 'about the same' as pre-recession levels by 2015-16," it said.

2.10 Europe

Muslims are creating havoc all over Europe. Here are just some examples -

2.10.1 France

In view of the Muslim terrorist attacks France is now going to have armed guards with bullet-proof waists, guarding people on the beaches. At what cost? Are they going to guard every church and synagogue?

2.10.2 Germany

Muslim gang storm nudist pool in Germany threatening to 'exterminate' women and 'infidels'

Priya Joshi International Business Times 27 July 2016

A gang of Muslim men stormed into a German swimming pool yelling "Allahu Akbar" as they warned a group of nudist swimmers they would be "exterminated". The six men hurled abuse at the women and children in Arabic and German, calling them "sluts" for bathing in the nude at the pool in the town of Geldern in the North Rhine-Westphalia region.

According to Breitbart, other witnesses said the men, believed to be in their 20s, spat at the bathers, referring to them as "infidels".

The swimmers described feeling "really afraid" at the violent outburst. A member of pool staff, Lisa-Marie Theunissen, said she asked the men to be quiet after her customers had complained. It is thought the men then caused an affray at a water skiing facility, where they subjected patrons and staff to more verbal abuse, before being chased off the premises by staff.

This year there have been reports of a spate of sex attacks at public baths in Germany and Austria, perpetrated by refugees. It has been suggested that many refugees from conservative Muslim backgrounds are unfamiliar with the preference for natural form of swimming in Germany, nor are they accustomed to seeing women swimming in bathing costumes. (But why do they go there?)

Cologne lifeguard chief Berthold Schmitt said there is a "fundamental problem" for refugees in 6,000 indoor, outdoor and school swimming pools in Germany. "The 'new people', as we call them, have three problems: they speak no German, have no knowledge of German or European bathing culture, and most cannot swim."

In an effort to create better understanding of Western social norms, charts have been displayed at swimming pools in Munich in a bid to teach migrants to treat women and children at the local pool with respect.

The professional swimming association in Germany has suggested that sex attacks by refugees at public baths could be prevented by training migrants to become pool lifeguards with responsibilities for ensuring the safety and security of bathers.

The Federal Association of German Swimming Professionals (BDS) says this would be "an inclusive measure that would benefit everyone."

"Often it is the case that women feel sexually harassed by a group of migrants just because they look at them," explained BDS president Peter Harzheim. "Such situations could be disarmed faster with migrants as pool attendants."

While the suggestion has sparked widespread disbelief, the proposal has won support from The SPD, Greens and the Left Party in North Rhine-Westphalia. "People with multilingualism can dispel misunderstandings faster", said Left Party spokesman Özlem Demirel.

* In February 2016, an Iraqi migrant in Vienna admitted to raping a10-year-old boy in a swimming pool cubicle. The attack happened at the Resienbad pool last December.

* In January 2016, a Belgian mayor in the coastal town of Kokzijde sought to ban male refugees   from a local swimming pool after police were called to investigate an incident involving an Iraqi man and a 10-year-old girl.

Police have said there would be zero-tolerance for sexual assaults.

* ITV News 25 July 2016  Syrian refugee arrested after 'hacking pregnant woman to death with machete in Germany' Police arrest the attacker at the scene.

A Syrian refugee has been arrested after allegedly hacking a pregnant woman to death with a machete in Germany.

The 21-year-old, who is also said to have injured a man and a woman in Sunday's attack in the city of Reutlingen, was detained at the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect had any personal link to the victims but some reports said the dead woman may have been a colleague.

Police said the alleged attacker appeared to be a "lone operator" and there was no indication was motivated by terrorism. In a statement, they added he was previously known to them.

Still Angela Merkel rejects calls to change refugee policy after attacks

* A German  doctor feared he was moments from death after a man went berserk in a hospital screaming "Allahu Akbar" and threatening to behead him.

By Rebecca Flood - Thursday, Jul 28, 2016

Dr Attila Tan, from Bonn, had just returned to work after a holiday when he was set upon by the crazed father of a 19-year-old he treated. The teenager, who had previously fractured his leg, came back to the German hospital on Monday complaining of the treatment he had received. He demanded further medical care from Dr Tan, complaining about pain he said he was suffering from. Dr Tan, a 54-year-old surgeon, said: "The patient came in around 10am, he was accompanied by his girlfriend who wore a veil.

"He was radiating aggression that only intensified when I treated him. “I explained everything to him, including the exercises he should be doing. But he wasn't listening." The irate teen stormed out of the office shouting insults, only to return with his 45-year-old father and younger brother,

The doctor’s loyal wife was beaten as she tried to help her husband The dad brought with him a 30cm ‘Rambo’ knife.  Dr Tan’s wife, 54, who works at the hospital reception, screamed for help when she saw the blade.  In surgery when the trio burst in, the medic rushed towards the front desk and met the knife-wielding attacker head on. While trying to hold him down, Dr Tan recalled: “The father screamed at me: 'apologise to my son, go down on your knees and kiss his hand'. "The younger son then grabbed me from behind and tried to push me down.” He said it felt like the attacker was getting ready to behead him.  The medic rushed towards the front desk and met the knife-wielding attacker head on. The doctor’s loyal wife was beaten as she tried to help her husband and suffered a heart attack during the ordeal and had to be rushed to receive medical treatment.  Dr Tan said: "She just wanted to protect me. The way he hit her, it hurts so much."  The remaining staff and patients barricaded themselves in a visiting room and called the police.  An employee said: "The father came in saying 'where is that son of a bitch? I will kill him'.  “We then pulled out something resembling a machete. "In the meantime we heard screams and things being thrown around

He said it felt like the attacker was getting ready to behead him “Then they screamed Allahu Akbar three times, in that moment I thought it was all over.  “I thought he had killed Dr Tan and his wife.”

Migrant crisis

The migrants have now moved to Dunkirk. Many human rights activists argue that there are many vulnerable young children in those camps. Sure, but how is that the responsibility of the British Government? France has Police to maintain Law and order, Civil Servants, Social services to provide support, Human rights activists and Church authorities. They all can look after these children. Moreover, how did these children travel hundreds of miles on their own? And why are they in Dunkirk and not in Vienna, Berlin or Paris? Why no attempt is being made to find their parents and unite with them?

It is astonishing that Jews who came as children to Britain for fear of Nazis are also pleading the British government to accept these unaccompanied migrant children. They forget that they are in no danger in France. There are no concentration camps or Gas chambers in France. So, why can’t they settle in France? If need be these Jews can raise funds for those children.

Western hypocrisy

Many western leaders accuse Assad regime of Syria of war crimes. But what about FSA?

Free Syrian Army? They were just as brutal as Assad. Ah, we support the FSA.

What about war crimes by S Arabia in Yemen? Ah, we sell them billions of pounds of arms to Saudis. Moreover our trade is too important.

What about war crimes by Turkey against the Kurds? Ah, Turkey is a member of NATO

In December 2016, Japanese P.M. visited Pearl Harbour which was bombed by the Japanese during World War II. He offered his condolences for the dead but refused to apologise for Japanese action.

Today Japan is extremely worried about increasing Chinese military threat and needs US military help in any conflict with the Chinese.

2.12 America’s Racial divide

It is estimated that every year some 350 Afro-Americans get killed by White Policemen when they are stopped to check driving licence, condition of cars (lights/ brakes/ tyres), insurance and other such matters. White Policemen claim to act in self-defence and are never prosecuted. Here are just some examples -

* Woman Live streams Her Dying Boyfriend On Facebook After Cop Shooting

Yahoo News 7 July 2016

A shocking video of a dying man was live-streamed on Facebook by a woman whose boyfriend had just been shot by a police officer during a routine traffic stop.

Lavish Reynolds began filming on her phone to show boyfriend Philando Castile, 32, lying on the driving seat with blood soaking through his white t-shirt. As he moans in agony, Reynolds speaks to the camera to describe what had happened.

She explains that the pair were pulled over in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, because of a broken tail light before the cop asked Castile for his driver’s license. However, she claims that an altercation then took place when Castile told the officer he had a licensed weapon on him. Reynolds told horrified Facebook viewers that the officer then pulled out his gun and shot her boyfriend four times.

The clip shows the officer pointing a gun through the window before Reynolds is later escorted to the back of a police car with her daughter.

She can be heard saying: “Please officer don’t tell me that you just did this to him.

“You shot four bullets into him, sir. He was just getting his licence and registration, sir.”

Castile was rushed to a nearby hospital but he is believed to have died from his injuries.

St Anthony Police Department said in a statement: “On 07 July 2016 at approximately 2100 hours, a St. Anthony Police Officer effected a traffic stop on Larpenteur and Fry in the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota. “During the stop, shots were fired. One adult male was taken to the hospital. We have been informed that this individual is deceased.”

The officer in question has reportedly been placed on administrative leave while an investigation take place.

Reynolds’ Facebook page has since been taken down.

* Angered by such instances one Black man shot dead Policemen on duty in Dallas – Texas. Obama said, “This is not typical of Afro Americans.” Of course not, shooting of black-men by white policemen is also not typical.

Still President Obama had the audacity to express concern about growing religious intolerance in India! He could do so because no Indian politician had guts to say – mind your business.

2.13 Attack on World Trade Centre on 9/11

It is now known that 28 pages of Government report are still kept secret. WHY? It is because it exposes Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the attack on World Trade centre

May be Pakistan was also involved?

2.14 Cuba

In December 2016, Fidel Castro of Cuba died aged 90. One must praise him for having stood up to vendetta of America for several years. He survived 600 attempts to kill him by the CIA.

After his death, his brother and successor Raul Castro declared that there will be no highways, railway or bus stations, educational institutions, health centres and other such institutions and places named after Fidel Castro!

Compare this to Hindusthan – everything is named after either Nehru or Gandhi.

* Donald Trump then Presidential candidate in America remarked, “Castro was a dictator. There was no democracy and freedom under him. Cuba did not have fair and free elections.” Sure, but does not the same apply to China / S Arabia / Iran? Trump did not say. He also kept mum on right of self determination for Tibetans and those living in Taiwan (Formosa).

+ Cuba is going to encourage tourism to earn money, but there is a danger. Number of tourists must be controlled otherwise the local people will face severe shortage of essential goods as the suppliers will go after making money which will increase prices for local people.

2.15 America

US elections provided good entertainment on TV. It was clear that the British view of behaviour of American candidates is quite different to how Americans see them.

During the elections many of our friends in America had sympathies with Hilary Clinton as she was a woman, but we warned – “she is strongly pro-Pakistan and anti-Modi. She and Obama have appointed many Muslims to key positions in US administration. Though she is a woman she has shown no sympathy for Muslim victims of so called ‘honour killings’ in Pakistan. She has not shown any outrage when women are stoned to death in front of courts in Pakistan.”

During elections Donald Trump promised to reduce business taxes and spend money on renewal of infrastructures. No one asked him,”where is the money going to come from?”

Trump wanted Mexico to build a 1,400 mile wall along its border with America. How interesting that President Ronald Reagan was shouting, “Mr Gorbachev, break down this Berlin wall! “ So, why does Trump a wall to be built along Mexico/ US border? What about freedom of movement of people? Ah, walls are necessary when it suits America!

There are several flaws in American elections. If one state has 42 delegates, winner takes ALL the delegates for that state even if he wins by one vote. Candidates should get  number of delegates in proportion to votes cast for them.

Trump is going to put forward names of 3 Supreme Court judges. He has already suggested what kind of Judges he will support. Of course they have to be approved by the US Congress, but it shows how politicised their Supreme Court is. Another interesting point – how does the Supreme Court remain leaning towards the right? Simple. Their judges have no retiring age. When they are old they hang on till a right wing President like Nixon is elected. Then they retire. Liberal judges are appointed only when a judge dies and there is a liberal President like Jimmy Carter in power at that time.

*Trump is aware of dangers of Muslim terrorists, but he not doing a good job.

2.16 Hindusthan

2.16.1 Demonetisation of Rs 500 and 1,000 Notes

In November 2016, Narendra Modi withdrew above notes from circulation. Though it worked well in Hindusthan it created lots of problems for those living overseas. Many visit Hindusthan every year, but their timing does not coincide with Government’s decisions. Many were under the impression that they could change their notes in branches of Reserve Bank of India till 31 March. I went to RBI office in Mumbai. I was told that such facility is available ONLY to holders of Indian Passports who were out of the country when demonetisation was announced and are now coming back. (what happens to those who went abroad on one year contracts in October 2016 and can’t come back till October 2017? ) At RBI office many OCI holders like me were frustrated. We were told that we could deposit our notes and get a receipt for these, but there is no guarantee that we will get anything back in future. Our money is NOT black money and it could not even be given to charities!

Modi had created a lot of ill will overseas. The situation could have been handled much better. Offices of BJP everywhere could have given proper guidance. The Government could have used organisations like Maharashtra Mandal London for distribution of correct information. We never saw any FAQs (Frequently asked questions) on any E Mails.

Moreover, why the stereotype thinking? Why not introduce notes of Rs 200, Rs 250 and       Rs 1050?

+ In urban areas many are using PayTM and ATM methods of payment. Taxi drivers are accepting cheques. Some people had paid their bills of Municipal taxes, services bills for the whole year to get rid of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

* We still do not know what steps the Government is taking to deal with black money kept in foreign banks.

2.16.2 Godbole’s visit to Pune

Godbole with his wife was in Pune in January / February. Their stay was hectic. There was strike of Rickshawalas, a threatened strike of Taxi drivers, and our friends did not make decisions in time. Still Godbole had three public engagements.

29 January – Talk on true nature of Taj Mahal at RSS branch at Bibewadi. 65 people attended. It was hoped that a PowerPoint presentation would be arranged, but this did not happen due to lack of a suitable facility. At the end Godbole asked, “Last year in February there was a gathering of 100,000 RSS workers in Pune. Some of the youngsters who participated told me that they wanted to show the numerical strength of RSS. But how many of those would visit Taj Mahal with my Tourist Guide?

100,000? No

10,000? No

1,000 No

100?  No

What is the point of blaming our enemies?

4 February – Talk on Savarkar and international relations in Mumbai (Vishwa Adhyan Kendra). I explained how Savarkar would have viewed current international affairs. Twenty people attended.                                                                                                             Savarkar had stated that in international affairs there are no permanent alliances only marriages of convenience. For example, during World War II Churchill desperately wanted Soviet Russia on his side because of its huge population. 20 million Russians died fighting the Germans. So, Stalin was affectionately called Uncle Jo by Churchill. After the war he became Satan Stalin.

* Might is right – still holds. In 1962 Kennedy ordered naval blockade of Cuba. By what authority? Was there a resolution in UN? No.

* There are no scruples / principles/ morals in international relations. Each country looks after its interests, so must we. Remember Kennedy’s inaugural speech as President of America in 1961? He talked about defending freedom / liberty and other values. So, what happened to freedom of people of Goa and Portuguese colonies of Angola and Mozambique? What about suppressed black people of South Africa? He never mentioned them. We just get carried away by rhetoric.

In Berlin Kennedy gave his famous speech in which he said – Ich bin ein Berliner! Sure, but what about dictatorships in Spain and Portugal?

* Once a Congresswoman gave clear indication of American foreign policy. She said, “There are two types of dictators. Those who are friendly with America – these are o.k. and those who are our enemies. They must go. How barbaric were the regimes supported by America! Just consider Chile. In 1970 people of Chile elected Allende as their President. But Americans did not like this left wing man. So, George Bush then head of CIA asked Army Chief of Chile to dismiss Allende. He said, “ I can’t do that. He has been freely elected by the people.” Bush got him killed and he was succeeded by Augusto Pinochet who overthrew Allende’s government in a military coup in 1973. And how barbaric was Pinochet! He forcibly removed newly born children of his opponents and got them adopted in Catholic families. America had always turned blind eye to such barbarities as long as the dictators support America and allow American companies to exploit their countries.

5 February – Talk on sources of information on Indian History available in England – at Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal. Function was arranged by Bharat Itihas Sankalen Samiti. Fifteen people attended. It is a great pity that our scholars had not used this valuable source. For example, Times (of London) has annual subject indexes going back to 1785. Information on the 1857 war of independence will take 50 to 60 days to digest.

During this visit Godbole met an interesting a Rajasthani couple named Kothari. There was long discussion at Dr Bedekar’s place in Thane. Kotharis have produced an interesting DVD on History of Yoga.

Savarkar memorial (Mumbai)

At one time it was reported that this was closed to public and was inactive, but I found that it now imparts training in martial arts – Judo / Karate / target shooting / archery /

* Classes are held for recruitment to Civil Service.

+ Modi (script) classes are also held. There is facility for blind people.

> There is a large auditorium for public functions.

* In 2016 February, the Smarak arranged a lecture by Godbole on Rationalism of Veer Savarkar which was later broadcast on Marathi TV channels. In 2017 trustees expressed their inability to arrange any programmes by Godbole as other programmes were already fixed for three weeks. When asked what those programmes were, there was no reply.

General observations –

Many of our second generation relations have only one child per family. This is frightening. Such a society cannot survive.

In-fighting between BJP / Shivasena and MNS continues unabated. They show no sign of maturity. Have they learned nothing from history?

Before beginning of session of parliament in New Delhi Chief Minister Phadnis was expected to have a meeting of all M.Ps from Maharashtra to discuss how the case of the state can be put forward. His secretary (civil servant) did not put the event in diary of Phadnis. This is the second time Phadnis has shown lack of control over civil servants. When Obama visited Modi all the Chief Ministers were invited for a dinner. Phadnis did not get the invitation! This is precisely why in Britain Ministers have political advisers.

People have huge amount of money to spend but it is all wasted. For example, there are children’s birthday parties. At one engagement ceremony of our 3rd generation in Miraj 300 guests arrived. Of course most had to stay in hotels. Surely Rs 300,000 could have been raised for charity work to counter conversion activities of Christian missionaries and Muslim Mullahs. This was not done. No point in blaming our enemies.

There is a serious problem of old couples living on their own as most only have two children. In many cases their children go to work overseas living parents alone. In many localities we find such situations in flats after flats. I know a widow whose one daughter is in America, another one in Canada and son in Dubai. She lives on her own.

Ramdev Baba’s Patanjali products of household goods are now available and have become popular. One hope this continues for a long time.

In public places there are no proper steps, handrails and benches for old people to rest. Also in many places there is lack of urinals / western style toilets for women. This is very embarrassing.

People have no physical exercise. Most of the time they eat outside, consume ready made fatty food. As a result women are getting fat in buttocks which makes them unsightly.

Waste – still no solution – dry waste dumps catch fire and produce poisonous gases. These are harmful to people.

Plastic bags are no longer widely used. They are replaced by paper bags. RSS is dealing with many other forms of dry waste such as electronic goods.

Problem of stray dogs – they need to be killed. It is inhuman to see them starve to death. Some do become vicious, attack people and even kill young children.

Travelling from Mumbai to Pune by road is a nightmare. Still there is one improvement. On the back of lorries a red strip is painted which glows when exposed to light from a vehicle behind. This is quite useful.

2. AROUND LONDON TOUR OF PLACES  ASSOCIATED WITH INDIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS                                                                                                                        After our last Newsletter Godbole conducted following tours in 2016.

On 21 June a tour was conducted for 3 couples from Pune. This was done on a week-day (Tuesday) as they learnt about the tour too late.

On 7 August (Sunday) I conducted another Tour of London. Nine adults and three teenagers attended. Closures on the Northern Line disrupted our schedule. Hot weather also did not help, but we completed the tour of all the places by 20:00 hrs. I reached home by 22:00 hrs

On 3 September there was another tour. Eight adults participated. They included four friends who knew me for 20 years. Two of their visitors and a couple from Mumbai took part.

On 17 September yet another tour took place  Sau Bhate is a Mechanical Engineer from Nagpur. She and her husband work for Ford in Chennai. She was sent to England for some training. She heard about the tour from a South Indian colleague. She and her friend Swapneel Kulkarni wanted the tour. A couple from Loughborough and an Orthopaedic Surgeon from London also participated

It is hoped that there will be some tours in 2017

3. BEHAVIOUR OF CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS TODAY

3.1 The Christians

3.1.1 Closure of Churches

We found the following in Manchester Weekly News of 14 July 2016 (Neal Keeling reporting)

Forty Catholic churches in Greater Manchester could close under a radical shake-up of the region's diocese.

In a report the Bishop of Salford, John Arnold, says action is needed due to a shortage of priests and fewer people attending Catholic churches. His recommendations follow an earlier report in November when he said the 150 parishes needed to be halved. There will now be three months of consultation with parishioners before final decisions are made. The Bishop says the exercise is a case of 'pruning for growth.’ In his report on the future of the Salford Diocese, he said: "Sometime it is only by cutting things back that they can grow stronger."

He added: "Our parishes need to be of a sufficient size to facilitate and sustain a dynamic and life giving community.”At the same time we need to look at how we can serve these  missionary parishes with fewer priests in the years ahead whilst acknowledging that there are fewer people attending our churches." The report outlines the potential restructure of the eight deaneries that make up the Diocese, suggesting mergers of parishes and closures of churches.

In the Deanery of Salford it is proposed 17 parishes are reduced to eight, with five out of 19 churches being closed. The most drastic changes would be in the Deanery of St Ambrose (South Manchester) with 26 parishes being reduced to 14, and 10 out of 31 churches closing.

Bishop  Arnold  said:  "We are encouraging Catholics across the region to get involved and  let us know how they would like the Diocese to be organised to better serve their needs. "I am using the biblical image of "pruning for growth” as a way of understanding what we are doing - ensuring-we take required measures now, so our parishes continue to be of a sufficient size to facilitate and sustain a dynamic and life-giving community.

"The Catholic Church has an essential role to play in serving people across the region, and around the world. "In these times of political, economic and social uncertainty, we must ensure the Church continues to be missionary and outward facing, spreading the Gospel message of God's love."

For a full list of the churches under threat of closure visit manchestereveningnews.co.uk.

Our comments – It is the same picture in other denominations, but they are obsessed with spreading Christianity in Hindusthan and cause havoc there!

3.1.2 Bibles in Hindu Temples in America

On 23 June 2016, we received an interesting Mail from Prashant Parikh of America  There's a Mandir at the far end of the city I live in (Atlanta). having a small library where there are books on Dharma, Indian culture etc.- the usual that you'd expect to find in a Hindu temple. Now, hidden from the casual eye, everything appears normal, but a closer inspection of the titles reveal that after every dozen or so Indian texts, interspersed in between you would invariably find a Bible or other books extolling Jesus, translated in various Indian languages (Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada). What's disturbing is no Church or Mosque would ever host scriptures of other traditions, and this makes for a very unequal playing field (or battle ground, depending on your perspective). I had taken this issue to the relevant authority figures at the temple who weren't sure how these books got in, before I promptly confiscated them for recycling. This is a recurring issue and I have to do this every couple of months.”

“The Bibles were most likely placed there by Christian Missionaries (who are known to do this kind of thing) aided by uneducated Hindus who still subscribe to the "sameness" nonsense, and are totally oblivious to the idea of being digested into Abrahamism. The latter conclusion derives from the fact that the books were stamped by the temple. I think Hindus need to speak in a collective voice against such things, and more so in terms of educating our own people who gullibly lend power to the missionary agenda. Would encourage people, especially living in the US, to keep a watch over their temples and catalogue / report such suspicious activities to the respective authorities.”

3.2 The Muslims

3.2.1 No dogs inTaxis

A Muslim taxi driver has been sacked after refusing to accept a blind couple and their guide dog because of his religion. By Joey Millar  - Tuesday, July 5, 2016

In a shocking incident captured on mobile phone footage, the Leicester-based taxi driver outright refused to accept Charles Bloch, his girlfriend Jessica Graham and his guide dog Carlo. The couple, who are both registered blind after being born with visual impairments, were shocked when their booked ADT Taxis driver refused to give them a lift.  Mr Bloch, a student at De Montfort University, said in the video: “By law you can’t deny us. It’s against the Disability Act of 1995.” The driver refuses and said: “I do not take the dog. It’s a choice for me. For me, it’s about my religion.” The driver eventually rings his office to request another car, which Mr Bloch refuses by saying: “No, I want this car.” The driver ignores him, cancels the other car and drives off.

As the driver leaves, a shocked and upset Mr Bloch said: “If you drive away I’ll sue you.” The taxi driver, who has not been identified, has since been told to find work elsewhere by the taxi company. Darren Green, ADT Taxis office manager, said: “We very much regret this. The driver, who is self-employed has only been with us for two months. We will not use him again after this.  “I am visually impaired myself after suffering a detached retina. We have many customers who are visually impaired.” ADT Taxis has also issued a long apology on its Facebook page. They said: “We are deeply ashamed of the conduct of this Leicester City Council licensed driver and he clearly broke the law after not accepting a booking we gave to him on religious grounds and has been dispensed with as well as being reported to the council.  The couple could not go out without the guide dog as they are both registered blind.

ADT manager said “Our policy is clear, we do not discriminate. If we have drivers reported to us for breaking terms of their licence, we cut them off from our bookings system and no longer use their service. We are contacting the customer concerned, and will offer him a full apology and some free journeys.”

3.2.2 Attacks on Shias

Express  - July 2016

Suicide Bomb Blast Outside Medina Mosque

A suicide bomber has killed four security officers and wounded five others near the security headquarters of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.

The blast in the city - the second-holiest site in Islam - followed three explosions in Qatif and Jeddah on Monday on the penultimate day of the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan.

The Al Arabiya news channel showed a fire burning in a car park near the mosque in Medina. Four security officials were killed, according to the Saudi Interior Ministry.

A witness said a car bomb was detonated near a mosque in Qatif and was followed by a suicide bomb attack just before 7pm local time.

Qatif is heavily populated by Shia Muslims, who are a minority in the Sunni-ruled kingdom.

A suicide bomber had earlier set off a device near the US consulate in Jeddah, wounding two security officers.

Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Mansour al Turki said the attacker was spotted by security guards, and set off his device when he was approached.

No claims of responsibility for any of the attacks have been made.

Islamic State has carried out a series of bombing and shooting attacks in Saudi Arabia since 2014 that have killed scores of people, mostly Shias and members of the security services. Most of the attacks have taken place in Eastern Province, which is home to the majority of Shias in the Gulf state.

In January 2016, a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in al Ahsa, killing four people before worshippers disarmed and tied up an accomplice who had shot at them.

In October last year, a gunman opened fire on worshippers marking the Shia commemoration of Ashura in Qatif, killing five people before he was shot dead by police. V

Our comments – If Muslims do not tolerate even Shias today, what would they have done to Hindus over last 1,000 years?

3.2.3 Koran has all the answers

Muslims always claim that there is guidance on all aspects of our lives in Koran. This is mere fantasy. Let us three examples.

* Drones are being used in warfare ever since ISIS threatened peace in Middle East. Their utter barbarity led to the use of drones. There was case of a Jordanian pilot whose plane was shot down and he was burnt to death by ISIS soldiers.

But now drones are easily available to civilians. They have become a nuisance to airlines. There are instances of near accidents. How how are they to be controlled? Koran will not provide any guidance.

* Lasers are used in PowerPoint presentations to highlight details on screen. But recently much more powerful lasers are available on the market and there have been instances of their use affecting aeroplanes. In some cases even eye sight of pilots are affected. This may lead to serious accidents.

How does Koran provide guidance in this case?

* There is increased use of mobile phones, but when you are driving it can distract you. There are several cases of deaths of innocent people on roads. But the drivers are not convicted of man-slaughter. They are charged with driving without due care and attention and get at the most 4 years in jail. With the silly system of justice, they are let out after serving half that sentence.

How does Koran provide guidance in such cases?

4 History today / Historical notes

4.1 Formation of Earth

Evidence of a monster asteroid that smashed into the Earth 3.46 billion years ago has been uncovered in Australia. Scientists think that the rock was 20 to 30 kilometres (12 to 19 miles) wide. It would have gouged out a huge chunk of the Earth, leaving a crater hundreds of kilometres across.

Dear Oh Dear! But, Earth was created only in 4004 B.C as Bible tells us!

4.2 Spread of Hindu religion elsewhere in ancient times.

On 21 March 2015, came a news that 4,000 year old Vishnu Statue was discovered in Vietnam.

Our friend Dr Kumar Arun wrote from America  -

If this news is true then it opens a new era of Vedic knowledge beyond the land where Hindu claims to be their only home, Bharat. If I were in the office of VHP, RSS and other Hindu Organization, will rush to Vietnam and get more pictures, facts and story related to excavation. My sincere thanks to author - Pramod Kumar and Shri Ashok Chowgule, a senior officer in VHP for spreading the news to all truth seekers in Vedic philosophy and Culture.

Our comment - It is well known that Hindu civilisation had spread all over the world, but as Nehru had anti-Hindu phobia all such news was suppressed.

4.3 Sinking of the passenger liner S S Lusitania.

During World War I above incident made Americans declare war on Germany. It was depicted as a barbaric act. But BBC documentary in June 2015 about 6 June time 21:00 hrs showed that the liner did carry arms and ammunitions and Germans were justified in sinking it.

Similarly in early 1960s there was case of a British Trawler caught in Russian waters. British made lots of noises about innocence of the skipper. But some 40 years later it was revealed that British armed forces did install spying equipment on the ship.

We should learn not to be carried away by propaganda.

4.4 Taj Mahal

At the request of VHP Manchester, Godbole made a PowerPoint presentation on Taj Mahal at Geeta Bhavan Mandir on Saturday 16 July 2016. It was attended by 75 people and was well appreciated. Many said that lot of their friends and relatives would have come if they had prior notice. We are grateful to Kamal Raunier for this event.

4.5 Riddles of Raam and Krishna

These absurd and malicious thoughts of Dr Ambedkar were published by Government of Maharashtra in 1988 under the pretext of freedom of expression. However they did not publish reactions to those thoughts. That is unfair. People must know the other side. There were four articles in Godbole’s study which he has got typed and added considerable comments and references. It remains to be seen if it can be published as a booklet. English translation needs to be done, but will take time.

4.6 Election Interference? The U.S. Has Done It In 45 Countries Worldwide

On Wed, Jan 11, 2017  Shridhar Damle <sddamle@yahoo.com> wrote:

America has a long history of meddling in the elections of foreign countries, new research shows

http://www.vocativ.com/388500/election-interference-us-45-countries

Russia’s attempt to sway the 2016 election continues to consume American politics as the Obama administration struck back with a series of punishments targeting Russia’s spy agencies and diplomats. The White House on Thursday moved to expel 35 suspected Russian intelligence operatives from the U.S. and impose sanctions on the Kremlin’s two leading intelligence services in response for what the U.S. says were a series of cyberattacks conducted by Russia during the presidential campaign. For the time being, Russian President Vladamir Putin has indicated that he won’t immediately retaliate, though that could change.

The simmering tit for tat has kept the issue of election meddling burning bright in the national spotlight, fueled even further by the belief among U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia wanted to help Donald Trump capture the presidency. Yet neither country is a stranger when it comes to directly trying to sway the election of other nations. In fact, the U.S. has a long and stunning history of attempting to influence foreign presidential elections, recent researchby political scientist Dov Levin shows.

Levin, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Politics and Strategy at Carnegie-Mellon University, found thatthe U.S. attempted to influence the elections of foreign countries as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000. Often covert in their execution, these efforts included everything from CIA operatives running successful presidential campaigns in the Philippines during the 1950s to leaking damaging information on Marxist Sandanistas in order to sway Nicaraguan voters in 1990. All told, the U.S. allegedly targeted the elections of 45 nations across the globe during this period,

Our comments- What you say is true, but how dare others copy the US? That is NOT acceptable. Moreover, America interferes for democracy, human rights, freedom and such values. (in fact America does so to further only her interests)

4.7 How History gets falsified even today!

Savarkar in Andaman

While in Andaman jail Savarkar was allowed to write one letter per year to his younger brother Narayanrao. He wrote 8 letters. Last one is dated 6 July 1920 and this has been misread by anti Savarkar people.

Savarkar says, “As to the question so often put to me and others by officers no less exalted than the members of the Indian Cabinet ‘what if you had rebelled against the ancient kings of India? They used to trample under the feet of elephants.’ I answer that not only in India but even in England and all other parts of the world such would have at times been the fate of rebels. But then why did the British people fill the whole world with a howl that the Germans had ill treated their captives (Prisoners of War) and did not allow them fresh bread and butter? What if the Germans had reminded them – ‘Fresh bread and butter! There was a time when captives were flayed alive and offered as victims to Moloch and Thor and such other Gods of war!’ The thing is this that this advantaged stage in civilisation attained by man is the resultant of the efforts of all men and therefore their common inheritance and benefits all. Speaking relatively to Barbarian times it is true that I had a fair trial and a just sentence and the Government is at liberty to derive whatever satisfaction they can from the compliment that they give a fair trial and a juster sentence to their captives than the cannibals used to do. But it should not be forgotten that if in olden days the rulers flayed their rebels alive then the rebels too when they got their upper hand flayed alive the rulers as well. And if the British people treated me or other rebels more justly i.e. less barbarously then they may rest assured that they too would be as leniently treated by the Indian rebels if ever the tables are turned.

Anti Savarkar persons delete the words Speaking relatively to Barbarian times and insist that Savarkar had stated that he had a fair trail and a just sentence! This is how history gets twisted even today.

Historical note – Charles I King of England was beheaded in 1649 when he was defeated by forces of Oliver Cromwell. Cromwell ruled England for 10 years, but after his death the English invited Charles II, son of Charles I to be their King. His first act in 1660 was to exhume dead body of Cromwell and hang it publicly. In mediaeval times the punishment was hung, drawn and quartered – horrible indeed. Savarkar is comparing his treatment relative to those times.
