INDIAN INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH INTO TRUE HISTORY

NEWSLETTER NO. 49 OF 16 OCTOBER 2007

1. NEWS AND CURRENT AFFAIRS
1.1 Taj Mahal
Mr Godbole's book - Taj Mahal: Simple Analysis of a Great Deception was first published in 1986.
His booklet Why Rewrite Indian History? was first published in 1993.

2nd editions of both books are now available in Pune, Bedford (England)
and Chicago.

1.2 Taj Mahal
1.2.1CD on Taj Mahal
Godbole has now produced a CD with 3 PowerPoint presentations.
1st is on historical arguments,
2nd is called Unseen Taj Mahal,
3rd is called How the Taj legend grew

One copy of CD has been sent to Shree Dhruv of California, USA. He is likely to use it for a public function at the time Divali.

Another copy of CD has been sent to a friend in Pune. It is hoped that he will see it with his friends in October.

1.2.2 Taj Mahal - book by Begley and Desai
Looking back

In Newsletter 48 we mentioned the book Taj Mahal - an illuminated tomb by Begley and Desai. On 3 July 2007 Mr Godbole went to London and spent some time in India Office Library. He had a look at the book and noted the following points -

(1) There are many close photographs as the authors were given full access by Archaeological Survey of India, but there is no photograph of Taj Mahal from the riverside. The reason is obvious. The authors could not explain the two basement floors. This is not a scholarly attitude.

(2) Mumtaz died at Burhanpur, but was NOT buried there. Her body was taken across the river Tapi to Zainabad.
In the book there is a map showing Burhanpur and Zainabad, but NO explanation for this extraordinary burial.

Maulavi Ahmad's book of 1924 also confirms this odd burial.
If we read Latif's book of 1896 we find an explanation. The place in Zainabad was a Garden Palace (of some Hindu Raja). So, just as Shahjahan grabbed late Raja Mansingh's Palace under pretext of burying Mumtaz, he also did the same in Zainabad.

Nimar District Gazetteer gives some more intriguing information. It says, " The village of Jaisinghpura, containing 453 persons and standing on the Tapi in three detached blocks, forms part of Zainabad. It is named after Raja Jai Singh of Jaipur."
It is probable that the Garden Palace at Zainabad also belonged to Raja Jaisingh.

(3) Strange enough the authors say - Cenotaphs in upper domed hall of tomb
-- Cenotaphs in crypt.
The authors are clearly saying that the so called 'Real Graves' are in fact Cenotaphs (empty tombs)

(4) The authors do admit that the First death anniversary of Mumtaz was celebrated 15 days later than the due date.
This is obvious. Mumtaz died on 17th Zi-il-Qada and Shahjahan came to Agra on
1 zi-il-hijja, some 14 days later.
However, Badshahnama tells us that this death anniversary was celebrated with unprecedented enthusiasm.
The authors are silent on this point.

(5) The authors say that the golden handrail around tomb of Mumtaz was ready by the 2nd death anniversary.
This is a misleading statement.
Peter Mundy, the merchant of (English) East India Company left Agra on 8 March 1633 and he clearly mentions this Golden Handrail, 3 1/2 months before the 2nd death anniversary.

(6) There is a photo of front-page of De Laet Joannes's book in Latin in 1631. This book is based on Pelsaert's report of 1626 in Dutch. But the fact that 10 1/2 mile stretch of river bank was full of palaces is inconvenient and therefore not mentioned by the authors.

It is a pity that Godbole did not come across the book in 1989 and did not have enough time even on 3 July 2007.

1.3 Website
All of Godbole's research is now on the following web-site www.satyashodh.com.

1.4 Rationalism of Veer Savarkar
Hindu Voice, the monthly magazine of Mumbai published by P. Deivamuthu published a quarter page write up on above book of Mr Godbole in its March 2007 issue.

1.5 Torture' flights
Recently allegations were made by reporters of TV and British newspapers that the CIA has been organising secret flights from European airports. These carry terror suspects which are then tortured in secret CIA jails. President Bush of America
first denied these reports, but eventually had to admit that such flights do exist. There was concern about such clandestine operations in U.K. A press statement was issued by various Human Rights organisations concerned. They said -

Sir, Michael Todd, on behalf if the Association of Chief Police Officers, has concluded hat no "extraordinary rendition flights" operated by the CIA have come through the UK (report, June 9 2007).

However, Mr Todd's activities appear mainly to have concentrated upon reviewing the publicly available literature and media reports rather than conducting an in-depth independent investigation, of the type aired for by the Council of Europe and the European parliament.

During the time taken for his review the practice of extraordinary rendition, by which people are abducted, retained outside the rule of law, and flown to third countries where they have faced torture, has become recognised as fact. The council of Europe has identified bilateral agreements by European governments with US authorities which gave the CIA a blank cheque to land, refuel and fly aircraft over their territories without my checks.

Until a full and independent investigation takes place into all aspects of the extraordinary rendition programme, there will always be a suspicion of UK government collusion in this practice.

1.6 Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram.
Lecture at Manchester Metropolitan University

On 14th June Godbole delivered a lecture on Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram at MMU.

Godbole made the following points -

(i) A malicious E Mail has been circulating for last 7 years claiming that Ravindranath Tagore composed the song Jana Gana Mana for welcoming King George V and Queen Mary at the Delhi Darbar. The person who makes this accusation and gave English translation of the 5 stanzas remains unknown. Why?

(ii) The circulated E Mail only gives perceived translation. Where is the original text? No one has asked this question. Mr Kanitkar, a Sanskrit scholar in London obtained a copy of the text in Bengali / Sanskrit and has also translated it which is quite different from the one in circulation.

(iii) The song composed to welcome King George V was in Bengali, but it was not Jana Gana Mana. The composer of that song was Tagore, but NOT Ravindranath Tagore. He was Ravindranath's grandfather's brother's grandson.

(iv) We do not know how far back the controversy goes, but we have a letter by one Bal Jere of Mumbai, published in Maharashtra Times on 3 May 1980. Famous Maratha humorist P L Deshpande had replied to that letter on 16 May 1980. Deshpande has given meaning behind the song and also some historical facts for clarification.

(v) In May 2007 our friend Mr Hemant Kanitkar of London has given translation of all the stanzas in English. It is surprisingly similar to that of Deshpande

(vi) P L Deshpande was a blind follower of Gandhi and Nehru, whereas Mr Kanitkar came from a Chitpawan Brahmin family who suffered terribly after the anti-Brahmin riots of 1948 following assassination of Gandhi. Kanitkar came to London and became a teacher. Despite these differences their translations of Jana Gana Mana are similar.

(vii) Vande Mataram has history behind. In 1905 it was banned by Sir Fuller, Lt Governor of East Bengal. And as a result it became a national poem overnight. It used to be sung at the end of public meetings and functions. People have faced jail for singing this song.
It has been used as a song for mass agitation. When chanting Vande Mataram Indians had faced attacks by police. The words Vande Mataram have been used for various forms of greetings. Phonetically also the words have a ring to it. Singing Vande Mataram had the same effect as God Save the King for Briton. Mr Godbole demonstrated this effect. He shouted Vande and the audience shouted Mataram. This was done three times as was the tradition.
Chanting of Jana Gana Mana does NOT have the same effect.
Revolutionaries sang Vande Mataram before going to the scaffold.
During the mass movements of 1920s, 1930s and 1942 we can see Vande Mataram being used widely in leaflets as well as in speeches.

No one was ever jailed for singing Jana Gana Mana

(vii) One can argue whether Vande Mataram or Jana Gana Mana should be our national anthem. But that is no reason for having ridiculous misconceptions about the origin and meaning of the latter.

The lecture was well received. Audience was about 35.
------------
After coming home Mr Godbole remembered that he had taken photos in the infamous Cellular jail in Andaman Islands. At the entrance there is an eternal flame in the memory of Indian revolutionaries who had suffered in that jail. On all the four sides we find the words Vande Mataram.
One must remember that this memorial was erected by Ministers of Indira Congress!

In August 2007 BBC broadcasted some programmes on India / Pakistan on the occasion of 60th anniversary of their independence. Sanjay Bhaskar went to Punjab to seek his roots. He visited the famous Wagah border where the flag raising -/ lowering ceremonies on each side of border is a Tourist attraction. On the Indian side the crowd was shouting Vande Mataram and NOT Jana Gana Mana.

2. AROUND LONDON TOUR OF PLACES ASSOCIATED WITH INDIAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS
2.1 Godbole arranged one tour on 17th June. Dr and Mrs Navalkale were travelling from America to Hindusthan. The tour was arranged specially for them. Dr Navalkale is a scientist who worked for the Atomic Energy Commission, Mumbai. He left his job and started private practice. Then came our Atomic Bomb and sanctions by America. Dr Nawalkale did not know how to survive. But he soon realised that America is NOT the only country in the world. There are others who need our knowledge. He soon managed to get enough business.
Two I.T Engineers and an I.T student also joined.

2.2 CD of the Tour
Godbole has prepared a CD of the tour (PowerPoint presentation).

2.3 Excuses! Excuses!!
One youngster wrote to Mr Godbole and said that when he went to see the Kohinoor
Diamond in London he told the sentry that it belonged to us. Godbole said, If I had been that Sentry I would have retorted, " In 1985 we Brits put up a plaque on the house in London where Veer Savarkar lived. Your Mr Godbole has been conducting a Special Tour visiting places associated with Indian freedom fighters for last 20 years. And how many had taken advantage? Only 400. Your countrymen would invariably see the wax museum of Madam Tussauds. Nobody has heard of Savarkar's India House. And given choice, Indians will still prefer to visit Madam Tussauds no matter what the admission charge is. It is a MUST for them. How dare you claim back the Kohinoor?"

This young man replied, " But Godbole, when I visited London I did not know of your tour."

Godbole replied, " I accept that you did not know of my tour, but did you ask anyone to show you the house where Savarkar once lived? Did you have the urge in your heart? Why simply blame others?"

3.. History today
3.1 Cornish separatists?
On 14 June 2007 Patrick Foster reported for the Times. On page 34 he says -

Celebrity chefs told 'get out of Cornwall' by separatists

Cornish separatists have threatened to attack restaurants owned by Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein in an attempt to drive out English "incomers".

In a statement sent to a local newspaper, the little-known Cornish National Liberation Army threatened to firebomb the celebrity chefs' businesses in retaliation for them "alienating" local people.

The e-mail claims that the group has substantial funding and promises to continue its
campaign to remove the "imperialist English flag of St George" from Cornwall.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall police said that the force was taking the threats very seriously. He said: "We will vigorously investigate any premeditated or publicised planned criminal activity."

The group says that its top target is "Padstow (Padstein) and Rick Stein Operated Businesses". The e-mail says: "It is common knowledge that Rick Stein and his businesses are held in contempt by many Cornish nationals who live in the Padstow area and we [are] currently seeing Stein riding over local democracy. At an unspecified date, Rick Stein will himself feel a 'rosy glow' in our Cornish port of Padstow... His vehicles and those of his client are bona fide [sic] targets for our activists."

Oliver's Fifteen restaurant in Watergate Bay, near Newquay is also a target. The message says the chef is: "Another incomer who has caused the inflation of house and other living costs at Cornish expense and subsidised by European funding who, together with his clients and customers and the owners of the hotel, are also targets of the CNLA."
The group claims to be a conglomeration of the Cornish Liberation Army and An Gof, a separatist movement linked to the bombing of a court in St Austell in 1980. The message, signed "CNLA Directing Council", claims the group has expertise from Welsh activists, who burnt English holiday homes in the 1980s, and funding from the US.

It says that direct action is necessary to gain home rule for Cornwall. "We respect the work of many moderate Cornish nationals to achieve home rule and a respectful acknowledgement of Cornish history and culture and those who work towards the provision of affordable housing in our Country."
"However, we feel that the message is being lost by untrustworthy politicians who fail to recognise the gathering strength of feeling in this Country currently dominated by the Westminster Parliament and its cronies."

Politicians in Cornwall condemned the threats. David Whalley, leader of Cornwall
County Council, said: "These people are not working in the best interests of the people in Cornwall. In fact, this is un-acceptable behaviour. I understand there may be frustrations about not being able to get affordable housing, but this is not the way to achieve it."

Dick Cole, leader of Mebyon Kemow, which campaigns for greater self-government for Cornwall, said: "I am saddened that we seem to have a handful of people running around Cornwall masquerading as some pseudo-terrorist group, threatening business and their customers. Such actions have no place in modem Cornwall. What they are saying is wrong and objectionable."

A spokesman for Fifteen said: "We are very surprised and disappointed by the statement because everything about us is Cornish. We are a fifth-generation Cornish business employing large numbers of Cornish staff."

Stein refused to comment.

3.2 Iraq and Afghanistan - what has gone wrong?

America and Britain face a total failure in both countries. Why?
Camilla Cavendish reported for the Times on 14 June 2007 (p17)
She says, " Don't you get it? It's a jobs surge we need."

Few of us can even bear to look at what is happening in Iraq. But I am told that a distinctive feature of the landscape is the concrete slabs that now protect every hotel and government office. Baghdad is becoming a city of "blast walls" four metres high - and largely imported.

In a country that is rich in clay, sandstone and limestone its 17 cement factories stand virtually idle. Fixated on something called the "free market", a luxurious anachronism in the current situation, the US State Department is determined to keep Iraq's state-owned factories closed.

It is now generally accepted that the US made two big mistakes after the invasion. The disbanding of the Iraqi Army left soldiers with no purpose and no pension. And the de-Baathification of the State went too far, cutting way down into the ranks of the only people who knew how to run things. But there was a third mistake, which until now has been largely overlooked

In 2003 Paul Bremer, head of the Coalition Provisional Authority ordered the closure of Iraq's 192 state-owned factories. These produced everything from trucks to paper, from electronics to textiles. But Iraq's liberators, those who had casually assumed that McDonalds would follow them to Baghdad dug up those precious roots of self-sufficiency.

Mr Bremer's mantra was "privatisation". Yet he never invested in the factories to make them saleable. Instead he initially kept paying wages, apparently assuming that investors would just appear. Imbued with the idea that "state-owned" was bad, and knowing that most workers were vehemently opposed to a change in ownership, he seems to have hoped that Western companies would simply set up their own operations. That was about as far as he seems to have got: his priority was military. Foreign companies, of course, took fright as the violence escalated.

The World Bank estimates that about 500,000 skilled workers were employed in these factories before the war. There were probably at least twice that many associated traders, suppliers and distributors. By closing the factories, the Americans created a vacuum that was filled only, as is made clear by army reports, by jobless workers earning cash by planting roadside bombs. If you impoverish people, some will seek income wherever they can get it.

There was a time for debate about the drawbacks of nationalised industries. There was a time to discuss how Iraq could best avoid becoming too dependent on oil. About how to build a market economy without a proper judiciary. That time is over. The US Agency for International Development estimates that unemployment in Iraq today is more than 50 per cent. Each employed person is supporting around 13 dependants. It is too late for the textbook solutions. There is surely no alternative but to try to revive the industries so rashly shut down.

"Have you forgotten?" a South Korean soldier recently asked an American I know in Baghdad, "what you did for us?" The US spent more than a billion in 1950s dollars to rebuild South Korea after the Korean War. It kick-started an economy that is now one of the most dynamic in the world. On that a democracy was built. But old, pragmatic America has been replaced with a new, ideological America. It is unbelievable that, four years on, the Pentagon is still squabbling with the State Department over how to mend the economy that it invaded.

The US is spending almost 9 billion dollars a month in Iraq, but only a tiny fraction is spent on economic development. The Iraqi Government holds more than $10 billion in surplus funds that it did not spend last year. That would more than pay or electricity generators, raw materials, new machinery. But the State Department bitterly resents attempts by Paul Brinkley, a Deputy Under-Secretary of Defence, to reopen a handful of the old factories. It fears that any plant not under Western control will build bombs. If that is true, then the war is already lost. But reopening factories would be more likely to shift the odds in the West's favour. Not every Iraqi is an insurgent: many just want a decent life.

Afghanistan faces a similar situation. There, at least two million people make a living from opium and the army recruits for the Taleban every time it oversees the annihilation of a poppy crop. Yet the orders are to keep on going. Of course the situation is complicated: opium profits keep some warlords in power. But their loyalty is to money, not necessarily to Islamism. There are ways to divide money from terror. In 1974, the American Government agreed to let Turkey supply opium to pharmaceutical companies because it accepted that attempts to eradicate poppies would be destabilising. A similar licence could be created for Afghanistan. But the US will not consider this, even though there is a worldwide shortage of morphine, of which opium is a key ingredient. New America must have its "war on drugs" even when that undermines its War on Terror. Ideological purity is not a luxury that we can afford. Privatisation, the truly "free" market, the "war on drugs" can come later - if we're lucky enough to win the war. But prosperity and jobs are a powerful weapon against violence, one we should be trying harder to deploy. Afghan farmers should be producing opium for global medical use. Iraqi workers should be producing textiles for Westerners and vehicles, paper, concrete, for their Government - just as they used to.

When lives are being lost every day on a horrific scale, why does opening factories pose an impossible risk? There are many wrongs that need to be righted in Iraq. But one is surely the wanton abolition of hundreds of thousands of jobs. We need a jobs surge.

3.3 India that is Bharat
3.3.1 Mr Godbole worked for London Underground Railway till 2005 and the famous company AMEC were working for London Underground. At X'mas time in 1999 they
distributed their diaries. And surprise, surprise, in the maps in the diary we find a country called Bharat and NOT India.

3.3.2 Mr Godbole comes in contacts with many youngsters. One of them wrote,
"I went to Birmingham Palace and saw the Kohinoor diamond there. I told the Sentry that it belonged to India. etc "
He said, "Yes. It is safe here."

Godbole wrote to this youth, if I were that Sentry the conversation would have gone like this -
Sentry - Where do you come from?
Youth - India.
Sentry - And who gave you that name? We Brits. Before the British Raj, India simply did not exist. You are so proud of that name that even after 60 years of transfer of power you still want to use the name India. What does your passport say - Indian Passport. You still don't have a name of your own country. How dare you claim back the Kohinoor diamond?"

The youth from Mumbai did not reply to Godbole. We Hindus still don't have courage to use that word Bharat. When talking in our mother tongue (Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali and others) we invariably use India. Why should others respect us?

3.4 Middle East crisis

The Daily Mail carries a page called Answers to correspondents. On 15 June 2007 (page 83) we found some interesting information.

QUESTION - Do the current troubles in the Middle East stem from the fact that the British government reneged on the promises made to the Arabs by Lawrence of Arabia?

FURTHER to the earlier answer i.e. setting up of the State of Israel in 1948 - as Britain withdrew from former Ottoman territories - could be regarded as a breach of the promises Britain made to the Arabs after the World War I exploits of Lawrence of Arabia in the British-sponsored 1916 Arab revolt against Ottoman Turkey.

But many Arab states care less than one might imagine about the plight of the Palestinians, having their own regimes to uphold and their own economic problems
(despite possessing oil reserves in many cases). If all Arab countries had set out single-mindedly to 'deal with' the existence of Israel, that country would probably not have lasted long after 1948.

The current Islamic fundamentalism of many modern Arab states dates from the 1970s, when industrialisation drew many young Arabs away from their ancestral rural villages into the cities. With their old roots severed, they sought new ones and found them at the mosques and madrassahs in the sermons of radical mullahs.

The 1970s and '80s saw the Iranian Revolution, the ousting of the Shah, and a general crackdown on non-Muslims in many Middle Eastern countries. The military successes of the Israelis provided a convenient pretext to hike the oil price but the 1990s average price of around $15 to $20 a barrel was, in real terms, the same as it was in the mid-1970s.

In 1998, the low of $10 a barrel was barely more than the pre-1973 Yom Kippur War price. Countries with large oil-based trade surpluses such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait invested this surplus back into Western economies and so had little interest in hiking the oil price so high that the West's economy suffered.

Only Iraq saw things differently, investing most of its oil revenue at home, so wanting a higher oil price. Saddam Hussein thought Kuwait was 'over-producing', lowering the world crude price, and this was his main reason for invading.

The two factors which have been crucial in generating the present Middle East conflict are the general weakness of the U.S. economy and the economic upsurge of China.

The U.S. consumes far more than it produces, resulting in massive trade deficits which threaten a slump in the dollar. If the dollar fell, the U.S. would go into recession and consume less, but the dollar stays high because it's in demand as a
petro-currency.

With the dollar expected only to fall, OPEC members might be tempted to price oil in euros.

Saddam was considering doing this, and - unofficially - this was one reason why the U.S. finally toppled him, having failed to do so in 1992. From virtual parity with the dollar or weaker around 2000, the euro has now strengthened to $1.33.

Despite having its own reserves the U.S. is crucially dependent on Middle East oil and wishes to secure its supplies, not just in the Arab region but in the former Soviet Asian Republics too.

The current oil price - around $70 a barrel - is high not only because of short-term factors such as Hurricane Katrina and the Lebanese conflict, but long term because China and India are increasingly demanding energy.

So the Arabs, and the Iranians, see themselves as simultaneously stronger economically, but more vulnerable politically towards the U.S, leading to increased belligerence both by Islamic Fundamentalists and by governments such as Iran.

4. BEHAVIOUR OF CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS TODAY

4.1The Muslims

4.1.1 Taleban is accused of murdering girl who had dared to attend school
On 14 June 2007 Tim Abone reported for the Times from Kabul. He says -

Gunmen on a motorcycle shot and killed a girl of 13 and a woman teacher in a savage attack on female education in Afghanistan, six years after the Taleban regime was removed from power.

The attack, at the Fatima High School in the Qala-e- Saeed Habib area of Logar province, has been blamed on insurgents. The school is less than an hour's drive from the capital Kabul.

"Those who carried out this cowardly attack are the enemies of the country," said
Hanif Atmar, the Education Minister.

General Mustafa, the chief of police for Logar province, told The Times: "The attack, at noon on Tuesday, killed one teacher, who was 29, and a girl of 13. Four girls were wounded in the attack and two are still in hospital. They were all between 12 and 18 years old."

The school has been open for five years and was built on land donated by villagers. More than 600 girls are taught in morning and afternoon shifts; the attack happened as one shift left and the other arrived.

"The girl knew the Koran off by heart, they said she was a great student," said Ali Mohammad, an MP for the province. "I cried when I heard the news."

A policeman said: "It was known what time some of the girls left the school and others arrived. This guy shooting from a motorbike planned it. He knew girls would be leaving and some would be arriving, he wanted to kill girls."

Michael Shaikh, of Human Rights Watch, told The Times: "This attack shows that the Taleban's rhetoric of protecting civilians is just that, rhetoric. We can't take them seriously, they attacked unarmed civilians leaving a school."

"It highlights that the general security situation is deteriorating in Afghanistan," he
added. A Taleban spokesman, speaking to Afghanistan's Pajhwok news agency, denied that Taleban insurgents were involved. "Such slayings are mostly linked to family feuds and local customs," he said. Afghan officials said in April that in the past year 85 teachers and students had been killed, most by Taleban insurgents. They have frequently threatened schools and students across Afghanistan.

Under the Taleban regime, girls were barred from going to school. United Nations figures indicate that 90 per cent of women in the countryside are still illiterate.

Although a lot of new schools have been built since 2001, in many areas parents are still too afraid or don't believe it necessary to send their daughters to school. Schools often struggle to find teachers willing to work in the more dangerous areas and the salary of only $50 (£25) a month puts off others.

"The Afghan Government and the international community has to do more to protect schools," said Mr Shaikh;

4.1.2 Launch of the Council of ex-Muslims of Britain
19 Jun, 2007
A British branch of a new Europe-wide phenomenon is to be launched on Thursday 21 June in London. The Council of ex-Muslims of Britain is building on the stunning success of other branches already operating in Germany, Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The British Humanist Association and National Secular Society are sponsoring the launch and support the new organisation.
The Council will provide a voice for those labeled Muslim but who have renounced religion and do not want to be identified by religion.
Rights activist Maryam Namazie will be the voice of the organisation in this country. She said: "We are establishing the alternative to the likes of the Muslim Council of Britain because we don't think people should be pigeonholed as Muslims or deemed to be represented by regressive organisations like the MCB. Those of us who have come forward with our names and photographs represent countless others who are unable or unwilling to do so because of the threats faced by those considered 'apostates' - punishable by death in countries under Islamic law. By doing so, we are breaking the taboo that comes with renouncing Islam but also taking a stand for reason, universal rights and values, and secularism. We are quite certain we represent a majority in Europe and a vast secular and humanist protest movement in countries like Iran."
Mina Ahadi who initiated the original Central Council of Ex-Muslims in Germany will be attending the launch. She spoke about the aims of the organisation in an interview to Der Spiegel http://www.spiegel.de/international/spiegel/0,1518,468828,00.html.
Mina Ahadi, Mahin Alipour (spokesperson of the Scandinavian organisation), Maryam Namazie and others will be available for interviews at the launch.

The launch will be at 11am (until midday), Thursday 21 June 2007
Wilson Room

Manifesto of the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain
We, non-believers, atheists, and ex-Muslims, are establishing or joining the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain to insist that no one be pigeonholed as Muslims with culturally relative rights nor deemed to be represented by regressive Islamic organisations and 'Muslim community leaders'.

Whilst religion or the lack thereof is a private affair, the increasing intervention of and devastation caused by religion and particularly Islam in contemporary society has necessitated our public renunciation and declaration. We represent a majority in Europe and a vast secular and humanist protest movement in countries like Iran.

Taking the lead from the Central Council of Ex-Muslims in Germany, we demand:
1. Universal rights and equal citizenship for all. We are opposed to cultural relativism and the tolerance of inhuman beliefs, discrimination and abuse in the name of respecting religion or culture.
2. Freedom to criticise religion. Prohibition of restrictions on unconditional freedom of criticism and expression using so-called religious 'sanctities'.
3. Freedom of religion and atheism.
4. Separation of religion from the state and legal and educational system.
5. Prohibition of religious customs, rules, ceremonies or activities that are incompatible with or infringe people's rights and freedoms.
6. Abolition of all restrictive and repressive cultural and religious customs which hinder and contradict woman's independence, free will and equality. Prohibition of segregation of sexes.
7. Prohibition of interference by any authority, family members or relatives, or official authorities in the private lives of women and men and their personal, emotional and sexual relationships and sexuality.
8. Protection of children from manipulation and abuse by religion and religious institutions.
9. Prohibition of any kind of financial, material or moral support by the state or state institutions to religion and religious activities and institutions.
10. Prohibition of all forms of religious intimidation and threats.
We warmly welcome this move

4.1.3 Shias and Sunnis at each other's throats in Iraq

On 14 June 2007 Debroah Haynes reported from Baghadad for the Times (p35)

New attack on mosque sparks wave of revenge bombings
o A wave of revenge attacks on Sunni mosques hit Baghdad last night in retaliation for a devastating attack on a revered Shia shrine in Samarra, north of the capital.

The attacks came after suspected al-Qaeda saboteurs blew up the two minarets of the al-Askariya mosque in the largely Sunni city of Samarra, in a provocative attack that destroyed the slender, gold- covered towers. The same holy site was bombed 15 months ago, igniting the bloody sectarian violence that has since claimed thousands of victims.

Political and religious leaders condemned the latest blasts yesterday and Nouri al-Maliki, the Prime Minister, deployed thousands of troops and imposed a curfew in Baghdad and Samarra to limit the movement of the militias and death squads, in a desperate attempt to contain the violence.

He also called on the US military to send reinforcements to Samarra, 60 miles north of Baghdad, and ordered Iraqi security forces to increase protection at religious sites around the country.

Addressing the nation on television, Mr al-Maliki said: "I urge everybody not to give a
chance to terrorists and stand united in confronting those who ignite sectarian passions."

All policemen on duty at the al-Askariya mosque were arrested for questioning as part of the investigation into the explosions, which took place at 9 a.m. in spite of tight security at the shrine.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Iraq's most senior Shia religious leader, urged his followers to resist the temptation to retaliate against Sunni Arabs. The political bloc of Hojatole-slam Moqtada al-Sadr, the radical cleric, also called on its supporters to remain calm. At the same time, the Shia Sadrists suspended their participation in parliament in protest at the attacks.

Despite the appeals for calm three mosques in the town of Iskandiriyah, south of Baghdad, were bombed and another Sunni mosque in the capital's Bayaa neighbourhood was set on fire.

Mortars were also aimed at a Sunni mosque in Ghazaliyah, a mixed Sunni-Shia neighbourhood in north Baghdad, a resident told The Times. The attack was followed by clashes between gunmen and the guards inside the mosque. After
45 minutes, the Iraqi Army and National Guard arrived at the scene to secure the area, he said.

The curfew meant that Baghdad's roads were clear, but people living in mixed neighbourhoods, where sectarian killing has been most prevalent, braced themselves for a night of violence.
"We are preparing for any attack by the Mahdi Army," said Shiras Assem, 34, a shopkeeper in Saydeia, west Baghdad, referring to the group loyal to Hojatoleslam al-Sadr.
"We closed the street and we expect to be attacked," he said.

"Maybe they will hit the local Sunni mosque. We have set up a night watch until the morning. We will not sleep tonight."

Anxious to defuse the situation, the United States blamed al-Qaeda and said that the
bombing was "an act of desperation by an increasingly beleaguered enemy".

"This brutal action on one of Iraq's holiest shrines is a deliberate attempt by al-Qaeda to sow dissent and inflame sectarian strife among the people of Iraq," said Ryan Crocker, the US Ambassador to Iraq, and General David Petraeus, the head of US forces in Iraq.

Al-Qaeda has sought to provoke a civil war between Iraq's Shia majority and Sunni minority in the vacuum of insecurity left by the US-led invasion.

It was blamed for the first bombing of the al-Askariya mosque last year that inspired large-scale sectarian killings. The Sunni terrorist group is also behind countless attacks that have killed tens of thousands.

In recent months, however, other Sunni militias, sick of the daily chaos, have joined with Iraqi and US forces to fight al-Qaeda, hoping to bring order to Baghdad.

The United States has also deployed more than 20,000 extra troops in and around Baghdad in an attempt to quell the violence and enable Mr al- Maliki's Government to make progress on a series of political goals such as national reconciliation and an agreement on a new oil law.

Foad Kazem al-Moqdadi, a Sunni academic, said that Iraqis knew the perpetrators of yesterday's attack were solely intent on stoking sectarian warfare and would resist rising to the bait.

"We are very strong now more than the last time," he said. "I have heard that militant
groups have started to fight some Sunni groups in the street, but we will try to stop this sort of thing."
The dome of the al-Askariya shrine was destroyed on February 22 last year in a bombing blamed on Sunni militants believed to be linked to al-Qaeda.

The article also gives some historical information

Sacred shrine

o The al-Askariya Mosque also known as the Golden Mosque - is one of the four main Shia shrines-in Iraq, parts of it dating from the 9th century
o It holds the tombs of two of the twelve revered Shia imams: the tenth Imam
Ali al-Hadi, who died in A.D. 868, and his son, the eleventh Imam Hasan al-Askari, who died in A.D. 874
o It stands beside the place where Imam Mahdi - the twelfth Imam, after whom Hojatoleslam Moqtadr al-Sadr's al-Mahdi Army is named - disappeared.
Shias believe the "hidden imam" will return to bring justice to the world before the Day of Judgment

o The Golden Dome was completed in 1905 and covered by 72,000 golden pieces. At about 20 metres (66ft) wide and with a circumference of 68 metres, it was one of the biggest domes in the Islamic world.

4.1.4 Islam is an organized crime against humanity!

It is extremely important to go in-depth of the subject of Islam to understand the mind set.
Why and how does that matter to us?
Islam and Christianity are on offensive to destroy the very base of Hindu India forever.
We must wake up, arm us with real knowledge, right info and then propagate that wisdom to all people to awaken them before their remaining rights are stripped away.

This absolutely fascinating, truthful, genuine study of Islam by one of the most rationalist, scholar from Pakistan, president of The Rationalist Org of Pakistan, was once sentenced to death for blasphemy.
A well written study of not only how women are treated in Islam, but how with the advent of Islam, several highly developed civilizations were destroyed, millions were massacred and sold in slave markets for a pittance. Even in this 21st. Century, Iran was to pass a bill legalising marriage of girls at 9 years keeping up with Prophet marrying Ayesha and justifications in Quran!!

ISLAM AND WOMEN - by Dr. Younus Shaikh

Dr. Younus Shaikh, Pakistani Rationalist and founder President of the Rationalist organization of Pakistan,

"The Enlightenment", who was once sentenced to death for blasphemy in Pakistan, writes on Islam and Women.

Before the advent of Islam, the pagan Arab women generally enjoyed a respectable status in society; many of them including Khadija - the first wife of the prophet of Islam, had the right to engage in business and choose or dismiss their husbands in a matrilineal fashion; they took part in most activities of war and peace including public worship. In female oriented Arab paganism, goddesses had special status; in Mecca, the female goddess Al-Uzza, in Taif the goddess Al-Lat and in Medina the goddess Manat were the most popular deities, and their statues were most revered while the statue of the stern Allah was almost neglected. Arab pagan poetry was mostly concerned with the beauty and grace of their women, and the glory of their tribal values in peace and war. And it was only in one predator tribe of Mecca that the evil custom of burying alive of the daughters prevailed.
It was highly unusual for a man of pre-Islamic Arab society to have more than one wife in his house; and it is quite certain that polygamy was introduced and encouraged by the prophet after the revelation of Islam. Women were to produce as many Muslims as possible. This ultimately resulted in the degradation in the status of the married woman in the Islamic society.
Whereas the pre-Islamic Arab custom allowed many looser forms of marriage on the matrilineal and matri-local tradition that gave the woman freedom and liberty as full human being, however the artificial rules of Islamic nikah reduced marriage to mere sexual and social slavery.

The prophet of Islam, before prophet hood, opposed the burying alive of the newborn daughters; he was eager to work for a woman and gladly married a divorced woman. The early Islam continued with most of the pre-Islam tribal traditions; there were no hijabs or veils for women of Madina; and at a later date only the nine wives of prophets were restricted in their social intercourse as their home was constantly full of visitors. However the prophet's women sex-slaves were not restricted in any such manners.

Indeed, the semi-transparent half-face- veil (hijab) was actually a very old custom originating in the Assyrian times, a status symbol and a mark of social distinction for the free women. The pre-Islamic pagan Arab woman of the cities often wore the fashionable semi-transparent half-face veil but the tribal women never did.

Later, Islam added measures for "the preservation of modesty for women" -like casting down their eyes in public, concealing their breasts and jewellery and the likes. However, these restrictions were later extended by the followers of the prophet far beyond his original intentions as expressed in Koran, and remained more or less a permanent fixture of Muslim life thereafter.

Later on, however, the insecurity of early Islam gradually added to the exclusion of women, and 100 years later, by the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Haroon ur Rashid, women became merely sexual toys and breeding machines; and as married women they were merely maid servants- mere man's social appendages. Moreover, as female sex-slaves, women were freely bought and sold in open markets of all Islamic countries, and loaned, rented or bestowed as gifts to friends.

The prophet himself bestowed women sex-slaves to his favourites. There was no limit to the number of slaves one could own; one of the companions of prophet Hazrat Zubair Ibn ul Arvan, for example, had 1,000 men-slaves and 1,000 women sex-slaves. Islam took the woman as the land tilled by the man where he spilled his seeds.

The prophet himself took part or guided nearly 100 wars or raids or attacks for power. After him, his followers continued the offence. The fierce Islamic tribal Bedouins with centuries long experience of ruthless and cruel tribal warfare proved to be the worthwhile shock troops of Islam.

After Iraq, Syria fell to the Islamic Empire in 634 C. E. Despite surrenders, great massacres took place at many places; thousands of men were slaughtered and women and children sold into slavery; monasteries were ransacked, monks and villagers were slain and nuns were raped. After the conquest of Egypt, many of its towns were put to sword and their entire population wiped out. Great massacres also occurred in Cyprus and North Africa. The Roman province of Iraq, the Syrian province of Iran, and the conquered Iran brought hundreds of thousands of men-slaves, women sex-slaves, and the vast fertile lands of these once mighty and civilized countries where the women had been held in high respect e.g. the Manichaecian Iraq, the Pharonic Egypt and North African Civilizations.

As in Egypt and Iran, wherever the conquering Islamic Bedouins armies went, they destroyed the local civilization's cultures, imposed their Islamic tribal medievalism recklessly murdering men and degrading women to perpetual sexual slavery.

In short, the Islamic tribal Bedouins and barbarians did the same to the surrounding higher civilizations what the Roman barbarians did to the highly civilized ancient Greeks. Meanwhile the Islamic Bedouins continued to raid and abduct the European women for Islamic slave markets during all these Islamic centuries. The conquest of Syria forced the conversion of thousands of Christian priests to Islam, who changed their religion but not their profession: they became the stern anti-feminine Islamic mullahs and not only continued their religious magic and rituals but also continued the essentially Christian medievalism under Islam.

In short, as a result of these conquests, destructions and imposition of Islamic tribal medievalism, societies under the Islamic Empire went further than any other in their total exclusion of women from political power and social influence. Islamic legislation went far beyond anything the prophet had originally dreamed of in his tribal religiosity in cheating women of their rightful place in society and in matters of inheritance.

Where originally the Koran gave women the right of inheritance, the Islamic mullah invented the legalized institution of Waqf- the religious foundation, to exclude the daughters and their descendents from inheritance. Though the Koran does give the right of inheritance to women, she continued to be a minor; usually uneducated needing a guardian in father, husband or the son. Indeed, the status of women in Islam is theoretically exalted but utterly deplorable in practice.

Multiplying number of harems (residing place for the female sex-slaves), finally institutionalised under Caliph Al-Walid II, emphasized the inevitable degradation of womanhood under Islam.

Haroon ur Rashid, the Islamic Caliph (ruler) had 2,000 female sex-slaves, Caliph Mutwakkal had 4,000 female sex-slaves; and every mullah, official or soldier of Islamic state had some men-slaves and women sex-slaves belonging to the conquered civilization nations. Not being allowed to learn, experience or think for herself, it is no wonder that there are hardly very few outstanding women in 1600 years of Islamic history, and those who by chance or by the force of the ancient pre-Islamic customs came into light or in the corridors of power were sooner or later eliminated on the orders of some pious and religious Islamic mullah. Indeed, Islam's violent anti-feminism have been as nefarious as Christianity's burning of hundreds of thousands European women as witches in 15th, 16th and 17th century. The female hating instruments of the Islamic Empire, the mullahs and the Caliphs, continued to promote degradation of women under the formal and sordid Islamic legal code of Shariah, the final seal on the complete subjection of the female element. The modern history of Islam is merely the continuation of the Islamic tribal medievalism, only the technology, phraseology and the façade is modern.

"Indian sub-continent suffered the humiliation and destruction under Islam, as did Africa. The Islamic General Mohammad Bin Qasim decimated great Buddhist and Hindu civilizations. Acting on the orders of a representative of the Islamic Caliph, Governor Hijaj Bin Yousaf (who was a deadly enemy of the Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Hussein's family-some of whom have taken refuge under the Buddhist monarch Raja Dahir in Sindh), Mohammad Bin Qasim conquered the kingdom in 712 CE. His Islamic pioneers and looters demolished temples, shattered sculptures, plundered palaces and killed thousands. It took his Islamic army three days to slaughter the inhabitants of Debal, their women and children were taken into slavery. Later on he pardoned many prisoners and tried to establish a just rule of law which enraged the very Islamic and murderous Governor Hijaj Bin Yousaf; therefore Qasim again reverted to the Islamic barbarity and massacred between 6-16 thousands in Brahiminabad, their women and children were sent to Arab Islamic slave markets.

This was the beginning of the destruction of the classical ancient Indian civilization, and start of the medieval age of Islamic darkness in India. The 11th century witnessed another Islamic murderer and pioneer, Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi an agent of Islamic Caliph, who utterly ruined the great Indian civilization and looted and plundered most of its wealth.

Fifty thousand Hindus were massacred in just one of his attacks at Somnath; he invaded India more than 17 times. Thousands of Hindu men and women were sent to the Islamic Afghani slave markets. The highly cultured and civilized daughters of the noble Hindu families were sold to the illiterate, un-cultured and barbaric Afghanis for equivalent of just one Frank (Pound/Dollar) each.

After every Afghani Muslim had four wives each, there were lots of surplus women left; to that the evil Islamic mullahs responded with an ingenious translation of Koranic verses proving that Allah allowed each Muslim to marry 18 women at a time along with an unlimited number of women as concubines. Soon the new military instruments of the Islamic Caliph, the Turks and the Moguls followed, decimated captured Delhi and turned whole of India into a grand open-air slave camp. Sultan Firoze Shah Tughlaq- an Islamic Turk ruler had 100,000 men-slaves and thousands of female sex-slaves in his harem; the pious Islamic Mongol (Mogul) Emperor Shahjehan had 15,000 female sex-slaves and concubines for his personal harem. Indeed, the Islamic Turk invaders and rulers did the same in India as they did in Armenia-the whole races of peoples were exterminated.

(However, credit must be given here to the agnostic and secular-minded, humanist Mogul Emperor Akbar the Great who refused the title of "the King of Muslims" and preferred to be called "the shadow of God"- for his God, he declared (in accordance with the mind and language of his age), is the beneficial deity and protector of all-Hindus, Muslims and other races of humans and creatures alike. He gave up his faith in Islam and tried his genius in creating a pluralistic religion comprising traditions of all the prevalent religions and ideologies of India. He even invited the Christian Jesuits priests from Goa to his ideology-discussion-palace but could not swallow their childish Jesus-son-of-God myth).

The medieval Islamic Empire of the Turkish Osmania Caliphate disappeared after Axis defeat in the World War I and with the rise of the Turkish secular hero Mustafa Kemal Pasha. However, it soon metamorphosed into the modern Saudi Islamic spiritual Empire.

It is noteworthy that while the very Christian Holy Roman British Empire of the West required standing armies to control the bodies of men in all its colonies, the theocratic Saudi Islamic spiritual Empire of the East depended on the standing army of clerics-Mullahs and Imams-stationed in mosques to control the minds of men the social, cultural spiritual and psychological control. It is true that Islam dismantled the old Arab tribal loyalties and some of its taboos and traditions; however it created a new tribe in the name of Islam with prophet himself as its chieftain and his family and tribe-Hashmis and Quresh acquiring an elevated and sacred status- a replacement of old medieval tribe with a new theocratic tribe. However, it essentially continued many of the ancient pagan rituals of worship as well as many of its old taboos and traditions. The tribal blood loyalties were replaced with the new tribal religious loyalties. At intellectual level Islam is merely the continuation of the medieval Jahiliya (Ignorance) in the holy garb of Islam- the Islamic Jahilia (the Islamic Medieval Ignorance). Modern Islam is, indeed, merely a continuation of that medieval tribal ignorance and mental backwardness.

Since the advent of the Saudi oil, petrodollars started to support the Islamic extremist movements all over the world and continue to do so. The Saudi petrodollars have created thousands of Islamic centres for social and political control and propaganda- the mosques all over the world; 1,000 mosques were built in the USA only in just last few years.

Islamic brainwashing and political propaganda continues in these mosques and madrassas - the religious schools, as well as through the Islamic newspapers, magazines, radios and televisions. All kind of extremist Islamic terrorism and fundamentalism emanates and flows from the " Kernel of Evil- the Epicentre of the ugly Islamism-the Saudis". For Allah of the Saudis makes submission to Islam obligatory for all humans.

Those who refuse their submission to Allah or differ from the Saudi version of Islam are called the Satan's party, and must be eliminated by Saudis or their paid and brainwashed zombies - the Muslims - called the Allah's party. Saudi Arabia is in fact the worst example of Islamic medievalism, and mental, social backwardness. Slavery was legal in Saudi until 1960s when it was officially abolished on the personal request of the non-Muslim US President J F Kennedy! However, it continues in new names: the foreign female domestic servants-the private property of the Islamic Bedouin barbarians. Saudi petrodollars continue to support the extremist and fundamentalist mullahs, and continue to lure the Islamic states into the barbarity of the Islamic medieval Shariah laws, and the Saudis continue to spread Islamic mullah terrorism and Islamic theocratic totalitarianism all over the world."

Iran basically an Islamic spiritual colony, is the godfather of the Shiite Islamic terrorism,
(Saudi Sunnis are an Islamic sect like the Christian Catholics while Shiites are like the Protestant Christians). This Allah's government in Iran is the most evil religious state today. Torture, murder and Islamic absolutism- an Islamic version of Hitler's Nazism, Stalin's Communism and Mussolini's Fascism combined. There were 5,195 political and religious executions only in 1983 alone!

Few years ago a bill was presented in Iranian Parliament asking that in according with the tradition of Islamic prophet, marriage should be allowed with 9 years old girl child! Human rights are definitely not allowed to exist in the Islamic Iran, where according to the English language Radio Iran, the Holy Spirit of imam Khomeni hovers over Iran all the times. Women have been hanged on suspicion of sexual crimes. Even proved virgins have been sent to gallows, however, they are hanged only after being raped, as Iranian Islam does not allow hanging of virgins. Iran had used its oil money in the interest of Islamic revolutions all over the world, and continues to do so.

Algeria, known for its Islamic civil war continues with its Islamic horrors. Islamic absolutism and totalitarianism is imposed with guns and slaughters in the interest of religion of Islam. Men are usually killed for their religio-political crimes while women are killed just for the crime of being a woman in an Islamic country. Thousands were islamically raped and more than 500 were killed only in 1993. Women have been killed for not wearing hijab (veil) or refusing to do so when imposed, for refusing to engage in Iranian-style temporary marriage, for being married to foreign men, and for working and living alone. The victims have been as young as 9 years and as old as 69 years. Women are often raped and tortured before being slaughtered. Thousands find themselves imprisoned in Islamic camps for no legitimate reasons. It is worth mentioning that women had a respectable status in society before the conquest of Algeria by Islam.

Egyptians, heir to the great Pharonic and Alexandrian civilizations continue to suffer the chronic evil of Islam. Known for the miseries of hijab and female genital mutilation, Egypt is also a centre of child prostitution for the wealthy Saudi Islamic Bedouins. In Egypt, four out of five women are forced to wear some kind of hijab. Female genital mutilation is very common; up to 73% in Cairo and 95% in rural areas. In 1995 a Shaikh (religious dignity) of Al-Azhar University Cairo issued a fatwa (the religious decree or bill), which reportedly announced the procedure pf Female Genital Mutilation as "laudable practice that does honour to women"; and stating that it was, a religious duty as important as praying to Allah.

Sudan had a long history of Islamic conquest and repression. Islamic totalitarianism and barbarity continues to this day. Recently, Sudan was brutalized by the Saudi-backed Gen. Numeri's Islamic fascism. In 1992 a religious decree - fatwa-was issued that gave justification to the military onslaught against the non-Muslims. Islamic barbarism and genocide continues in Darfur to this day.

Indonesian Islamic army mass-murdered 200,000 East Timurian non-Muslims before East Timur got its independent. The country is known for its extreme religiosity, corruption, ethno-religious problems and Islamic extremism.

Pakistan, an experimental laboratory of Islam, had turned into a horror. Notwithstanding the hundreds of thousands of rapes, abductions and murders under the watchful eyes of the very Christian administration of the Holy Roman British Empire at the time of religious division of the Indian sub-continent in 1947 by the Christian British Empire, when half a million people were forced to migrate, Pakistan has never made any certain move towards civilization.

Pakistan is a centre of Islamic fundamentalism, extremism and terrorism. Pakistan's very Islamic army invaded her province of East Pakistan in 1971, killing hundreds of thousands of Bengali Muslims and non-Muslims and raping half a million women ranging 9-69 years in age, in its attempt to create a half breed Pak-Bengal race which would be loyal to Islam and Pakistan. In 1974 Pakistan army invaded its province of Baluchistan resulting in similar calamities. In 1980 Islamist General Zia ul Haq introduced further islamization under the Saudi pressure for introduction of the medieval and tribal Islamic Shariah.. Along with the compulsory public prayers, there were brutal Islamic laws for the very natural sexual acts and for the presumed blasphemy: the repressive Hudood Ordinance and the infamous Blasphemy laws.

Thousands of innocent women continue to suffer under these and other Islamic fascist laws for mere allegations. Raped women had been sent to gallows for the crime of being raped. (Islamic Shariah is the only system of law, which punishes the victims: Fatemollah). Pakistani state has proved to be a willing and sinister instrument of the evil Islamic mullah fascism and terrorism. Pakistan created the hated Afghan Taliban and many other such organizations in Afghanistan. Similar organizations continue to flourish in Pakistan and try to create a totalitarian and fascist Islamic state. Despite all tall claims of fight against Islamic terrorism, the evil continues to flourish. Pakistan is undoubtedly a major source of supply for the Iraqi terrorism. Illicit drug trade continues with the blessings of the Islamic mullahs and the ISI (the Islamic Military Intelligence). There are Islamic prostitution centres in every Islamic city of the Islamic Pakistan where abducted and non-Muslim women are forced to suffer. The secular, liberal and rationalist intellectuals continue to suffer in Pakistan like the victims of the infamous Christian inquisition of medieval Europe. While the Christian churches burnt the heretics, Islamic mullahs get them indicted for Blasphemy.
Eternal vigilance is the price of civilization.

While fundamentalism, superstition, ignorance, lack of human rights, female genital mutilations, forced seclusion of women within their houses and in their hijabs; religious extremism, fundamentalism, suicide-bombing and Islamic terrorism continue to be the hallmarks of the Muslim states and societies under the influence of the Saudi Islamic Spiritual Empire of the petro-dollars or Iranian Shiite area of influence under its Shiite oil-money; it is high time for the civilized world to wake-up from the stupor of multi-culturism and blind tolerance of the organized intolerance; for the disease is spilling herein already. Many of the acts of the Islamic states and societies, organizations and individuals are barbaric and medieval; the beheading of the innocent hostages, death penalties and murders for religious reasons; chopping of hands and feet; stoning to death of women for getting raped or on accusation of natural sexual intercourse; honor-killing on mere suspicion, suicide-bombings and acts of terrorism; these are indicative of a deep-seated disease. Murder on the name of a merciful Allah is mere hypocrisy.

The rise of Saudi-sponsored extremist Islam is a danger to civilization everywhere. All extremist Muslims are potential terrorists and Allah's soldiers. There should be no tolerance for this religiously organized intolerance against liberalism, human rights and women's equal status and other manifestations of our civilization. Muslims in civilized and democratic societies should be required to take the oath of loyalty to the state and democracy. Political right to vote to those whose political loyalties are located in some far off desert is not only harmful but also suicidal for the state as well as for the very ideology and system of democracy. Political right to vote for those who wish to destroy the very system of democracy? Think again, Ladies and gentlemen.

There is no place for optimism for a liberal Islam. Nearly all Islamic states and states have failed to appreciate the basic human rights of their people, their women and their minorities. Saudis and Emirates are the worst offenders; and are the financial godfathers of fundamentalism, extremism and Islamic backwardness everywhere.. Nearly every Islamic country is dangerous not only for itself but for the world as a whole. Pakistan, for example, after supplying Iran and with Korea with nuke-secrets continues to offer the dangerous technology; Vietnam and Brazil are the new customers. The nuke-terrorist Dr. Abdul Qadir Kahn is safe, well protected and facilitated by the State of Pakistan, with full impunity, of course.

You civilized people! Yesterday you refused to acknowledge the dangers inherent in the rise of the Christian Nazi and Communist ideologies. Yesterday you supported Islamic Taliban even when they trampled rights of their women under their feet. Your refusal to confront militant Islam today may cost us more dearly than our individual lives-our cherished achievement -our civilization. Beliefs have consequences-the centrality of Islam to mental, social, intellectual and cultural backwardness; organized offences against women and minorities; fundamentalism, extremism and modern terrorism are impossible to deny. "Religions of peace and tolerance" are mere empty words. Islam is an organized crime against humanity!
